Still coming down from the excitement of acquiring an F50 today, USA model, in excellent condition. It was a bit damp today, but the urge was irresistible and the car is as sensational as I recall from my last drive of an F50....the throttle response is instantaneous and so quick.

Even to the last minute, the owner was understandably sad to part with it....but I think he realized its going to a car nut's home and seemed finally content with his decision :)

Here are a few pics from today, looking forward to sunny days ! Thanks to 410SA and Scott (Boxer365) for all of their fine advice.

Thanks Andrew, I agree on the rear aspect of the car. What really suprised me was the instantaneous and free revving engine...featherlite touch to the pedal gives very quick engine response. Clutch feel is very light, and not notchy when cold. When you compare this to the heavy throttle/heavy clutch of the F40, its much less effort to drive. It was too slick to get the engine up to 8k rpms today, but this engine would love a sport exhaust as you suggest. When the F40 comes on boost, it is shatteringly fast. The F50 power delivery is obviously much more linear. Much like the CGT, the bulkhead proximity of the engine transmits all of the sounds to the cockpit. You can hear the engine internals/chains, and below 4k rpms, there is a resonance that permeates. Above 4k rpms, things smooth out and a howl develops.

Some of the custom x-pipe setups I have seen are sensational sounding :) Eventually, it will get a custom exhaust/manifold setup.

Awesome, nice addition. Ive never really understood those who dont like the F50's looks, it is the quintessential supercar to me at least

The thing that really surprised me about the F50s Ive seen are how low they are, but they are amazing. Enjoy it.

    Jas,
It looks like you've got a GT3RS in your stable. I've got one of those incredible cars to sell for a client.
    How does it stack up?
