What do you think? Too bright? Shoulda gone wrinkle black? What the hell were you thinking?

Intakes came up well. Silver looks sharp in the pics. Forget black.
Getting there!...keep up the good work.

Tentative engine-in is set for May 11th (Mother's day) as long as I get my bushings by this Sunday... I'll find out tomorrow night when to expect them! Then I'll have four weeks to get everything sorted before the Ottawa Ferrari festival...

When I bought the 348, I noticed that someone had tried to lift the car by the gas tank at some point, cracking the fuel level sender and causing a constant slow drip of fuel... and denting the tank in the process. I had purchased a new fuel level sender but when I went to install it, it would only fit in an angle and would not have sealed properly. I spent a week trying to figure how I could pull that area (without damaging the tank itself) and restore its shape... this is what I came up with... and it worked!!!!

The sender went in perfectly straight however, the tank is still slightly dented

That was a pretty clever fix for the sender.

Make sure you have the spring, at the end of the sender tube, locked in the notches at the top of the tanks. They are to help keep it still, other wise it will pop out of place allowing the tube to move around.

I am glad you are progressing well. It looks like the car will be ready for the Ottawa Italian Festival.

Engine went in today and unfortunately I am realizing that I most likely will run out of time... my earlier hopes of completing early were really optimistic. I was planning on taking the car back with me but the body shop isn't done with the car yet... they will have this week to sort things out. There are still many things to complete before I'll be ready and there aren't that many weekends left. Not giving up on trying to make it, but my daughter is slowly forgetting what I look like so I'll have to re-adjust my priorities.

The car is in my garage now... I have set aside some time this weekend to complete the hookup of the engine and components... I'd like to fire up the engine by Tuesday night if possible.

This weekend I was able to sort out the rear suspension (more on that another time) and adjust the ride height as my guess was way off. I also installed the rads and gas tank... tonight I removed the front calipers to prep/paint them to match the rears.

    Lots to do this weekend:

    Intake
    Electrical connections
    Lubrication system
    brakes
    fuel system

My daughter showed up with her ride to inspect the progress...
