Being that he's a Kennedy, I'm surprised he's lasted this long. He's probably the luckiest Kennedy there's been.

My guess is the tumor is what's caused his illogic all these years.

It must have been years ago, but I saw a show on the drowning incident that theorized that he was not even in the car when she went over. It postulated the notion that he jumped out and was going to find another ride so that he would not get caught with her in the same car...and that he did not realize something went wrong until somebody told him about it the next morning.

Doubt that we will ever know; and of course it is possible that he does not know himself - depending on his "condition" at the time.

But, the U.S. Senate (and our political landscape) will sure not be the same without him.
