No water, just sand? What the heck does that mean? And how does one explain everything rusty?

I think I saw that one holding a dock in place in Wisconsin.

I've always heard that ferrous metals, when heated in a hot fire, are then prone to rust.
I don't know the metallurgy behind it, but have seen other examples too. The poor car
(or at least the engine) was probably relegated to an outside spot after the fire.
FIX THOSE FUEL HOSES! You should have seen the gash in mine, that missed 2 inspections.
Now all my fuel lines are new (hard and soft) so hopefully this won't be my fate.

I would pay $9.99 for it in a heartbeat

I would clean it up and use it as a coffee table. Put a big piece of table top glass on it...

    It would be cool

I don't know if this was fuel lines again. Look at the broken bell housing.
