Being a male, I can only comment on Ferrari shopping. And, quite frankly, I think its got to be easier to have a baby. (Just kidding female f-chatters ;) )

A month of preliminary searching, 2 weeks of phone call after phone call, lots of helpful and very much appreciated assistance from f-chatters, and I feel I'm still no closer to getting a 430 in my driveway.

I feel like Charlie Brown running to kick the field goal and every time I think I've found the right car, at a fair price.....Lucy snatches it away and I go sprawling.

I spent 2 months and knew my criteria.
The minute i found one with all my options, miles, color, year and so on, i jumped.
I even bought it from Scottsdale Lotus on Sunday night.I left a message and they returned the call and got the sale.
    Wired funds on Monday.
Car is in the garage :)

I think I put 10 months into my search. I ended up buying the first "good" car I encountered. I really wasn't even narrowing it down to model or color by the time I bought, I just wanted a good, clean car. Good luck!

Hmm, I always buy good deals and excellent cars and my searches don't last over a week. My last buy took me less than 10 minutes to locate the car had it the next afternoon in my driveway.

Congrats. In all fairness, the 430s are pretty new and available. The further back you go, the longer the search.

Overall, though, I'd give the benefit of the doubt to the new mothers. ;)

I was looking for about 4-5 months and had narrowed it down to one in New York, one in Boston and one in Atlanta. Ended up buying the one in Atlanta.

I'm looking for an '05 or '06 F430 F1 in Grigio Silverstone with most options.

I've found a couple but they either have a story, very high miles, or are missing basic options.

I wish I could just call up the used car factory and order one. :)

Buying anything, including cars, toys and houses is easy if you know what you want. Its selling them when your done that's harder to do.

    hello,

coupe or spider? www.continentalautosports.com has a '07 silverstone F1 spider with less than 2K miles on it. i don't know what options you consider basic, but the car seems well spec'd out.

Thanks for the heads up, but I'm looking for a coupe. I started a thread in the 360/430 forum about it.
