Looks real nice, Mike! Where did you get your tiles? I'd sure like to do mine but I've got to figure out how to keep the water out when it rains(it's well below ground). Get a lift next so you can park your next Ferrari underneath that one! Jeff
Nice work Mike...I am still on bare concrete ;( Better off for now with all of the oil leaks. Did you paint the door rails and hangers?
I've did alot of searching and had samples of almost every tile thats out there, cost was a little factor but not much because I wanted a tile that I can roll my toolbox or a floorjack on and lift the car and not worry about the wheels going through the tiles this is 19.5x19.5 and 5/16 thick and has a warrenty of 10 years and I'm putting on a 2 part resin this weekend so the tiles will be skid and tire mark proof, the site is http://locktile-usa.com/index.html and if you want to talk to the lady I order these from pm me........they are also made from 100% pvc rubber
the wifes suv,she has to park outside till the tiles gets sealed, the sealent will protect it from tire marks and skids, the sealer is a 2 part resin that is rolled on and takes 24 hrs to dry till I get that done she's not parking the car inside my rules!!!!!!!!!I guess I could've put card board down till then but I'm enjoying the large garage for now......lol
yes,was that to much or godie looking?because I thought about putting up molding around the ceilingand painting a green stripe and a red stripe under the crown molding and a green rope light behind the molding, what do you think? I just could go on and on....
I agree,I'll stand back and look at it for awhile, when I got the wifes car oil changed the guys there asked "when are you going to bring the ferrari by" and I pointed at the checked flag banner they had and asked do you have any more, bring the car by and I'll give you a new 40ft of flags,I did just that so my ????????? would that be to much along the ceiling, black and white checked flags on a white rope in a triangler shape, you know the kind you see at oil stops..........
I agree... a lift would be perfect... I have a four-post lift (from American Custom Lifts... no affiliation) for my 308 so my A4 doesn't have to sit in the elements (the A4 fits nicely under the lift). My wife refuses to relinquish her spot in the garage.
Mike, all you need know is A/C, couch, and plasma tv, so you can wacth the races while working on the car in comfort.
Mike, You need to do something like this: The garage belongs to a buddy in town who owns the 360. His garage is SPOTLESS! The rest of his pics are in a thread here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=191568 One of these days I'll get to finish my garage. Right now its very utilitarian! Garage looks great, the next thing I would do is get a door opener for the single bay and put up some more flags/posters.

I just could go on and on.... Mike, Looks great! I did mine with some ideas you might like. Did some, not all of my walls in the yellow/gold of the shield. For the stripes at the ceiling I found some white thin masonite and ripped it into 4" x 8' strips. Painted the strips red, green and left some white. I applied them to the walls with construction adhesive - they went up really quickly and the joints don't show. I found this a lot less hassle than getting up there on a ladder and trying to mask and paint the walls. Plus, my walls have a light texture coat so I was pretty sure I couldn't get a clean line masking. Did green at the top, then white then red. I got a few of the 8" shield stickers and glued them onto plywood cutouts and centered them over the stripes. Looks *****in I think. There's some work involved but when you spend as much time as we all do in our garages it's great to be in a really cool space. I'll try to post some pics.
yes we would love to see some pic's,its sounds great and your right when your in the garage its your space,I just got home and the neighbors had freinds over and this guy peeks in my garage and ask if he could enter and see the garage ,it feels so good doesn't it
Oh you boys are sick! I luv it.... Both of those garages are way cool.. I'm working on one of mine right now.. it's a skinny single car under the house. Losing my secure 24hr come/go parking as they have double the rent so it's time to bring baby home. Of course she has to have a proper place to rest. I'll post pics when done. Irondogmike, painting the door rails/tracks was a nice touch! I'm sending you a PM about the tiles! Paul
i ut the 2-part coating system on yesterday only 1/2 of the floor and the other half nextweek, its takes a good 4-5 days b4 you should drive on it,and 24hrs b4 you should walk on it and between 12hrs-7 days you can apply a 2nd coat, but when I rolled it on I'm happy today with the results, the colors popped out more and the seams filled in more so dirt and water can't get under the tile,@ $80 gal it worth every penny........you don't want to do this on a windy day,any bug, ant,or fuzzy thing that lands it,stays there till the next day when you can get at it.........lol...........I found that out but the results are........will I'm speechless........
