If you could start your life all over, what would you change in comparison to the way your life is now?

    Any regrets or missed opportunities?

I wish I had picked one sport to play and stuck with it throughout high school.

    1st, to quit having regrets.

2nd, way too many things to list. It's funny how one or two things that could have been done differently causes a few other things to change with it.

Really, my biggest regret is not striving harder. Studying harder, well studying period, and actually working throughout high school and college. Not doing that really affects life after college.

I have no idea what I would do differently. After 50 years of life, I still have absolutely no idea what I want to be when I grow up.

I regret getting married to the wrong woman, but I wouldn't change it because I have the greatest daughters on earth.

I regret leaving college, but I didn't know what to study. I still don't.

I regret staying in a job I have hated for over 20 years, but I don't know what I would have done differently.

I regret most of my financial decisions, but I have a decent house, a decent car, little debt, and both of my daughters have college degrees and zero debt.

I regret that I will likely never own a Ferrari, but I still love wanting one.

I think everyone has huge regrets, but the decisions we made in the past were made for a reason. They may seem like really bad reasons in later years, but hindsight is 20/20. The best we can do is to try to use the experience of those bad decisions, and make better decisions in the future.

The one thing I really regret is that I am 50 and have no idea if I have learned anything of value.

I had bought a lot of shares in Best Buy a long time ago when it was around 8 dollars a share(I worked there and thought it would be cool to own some stock of the place I worked at). The stock has since split and gone to 100 dollars a share about 3 times. I'd probably would have been sitting on at least a few hundred grand or more right now. I sold it and instead invested my money into a few penny stocks and lost it all.

Sadly I bought some again after a split and it was stagnant at 40 dollars a share for a long time so I sold it once again and a few months later it skyrocketed back to 90-100 and split again and is now up in the 40 dollar range. Damn that company will haunt me forever.

It was an excellent life lesson to learn at a young age, but I could have used that money to start my own business or invest and retire early if I had kept it.

I'd also probably be in the amazon doing research on ants and be a biology professor at a top university. I have really good connections in the academia world and had several professors that studied ants who would have stuck by my side and made sure I was taken care of. Hopefully one day I can retire into it.

I regret getting married (popular regret among my married friends), and not saving money while in the top.

Man, that snake is freakin' huge!

This is a great question. Some great answers so far, too. 1994-2006 didn't work out so well for me, but without it I wouldn't be who I am today. So I guess I wouldn't change a thing.

Getting married is great it just has to be done at the right time....Never been married but had a few gf's refer to themselves as my wife and have a girl now that everyone else calls my wife:D

I regret tying myself down with the same girl from 18-23, had alot of good times with her and with friends but at that age I should have stayed single.

I regret building 2 humongous houses when I was younger just because I could, should invested the money and bought more practical homes.

I regret taking care of everyone else before me and not taking time out to take care of myself, meaning learning to tell people "NO".

I regret not enjoying the good things I had in my life enough and instead constantly striving to move up...Not just in material things but in gf's too. Had a sweet innocent christian girl for 14 months when I was 25 who was perfect marriage material but I threw it all away to date a slutty girl at my gym. I seem to always want what I don't have then once its gone I realize how good I had it :( Didn't really want to date the slutty girl but every guy wanted her and she wanted me so I listened to everyone telling me how stupid I was not to hook up with her. Darn peer pressure got to me.

    Very cool.

As for me, I wish I'd been more myself when a girl I loved came around a couple years back. But apart from that, nothing really, I'm happy with who I am now, what I've achieved for my age, and where I'm going. :)

Studied a little harder my first year in college. I did have some fun though...

Started a business before having a child, a toddler places incredible demands on your time, but you also don't want to miss anything. Maybe another 2-3 years when she is in school...

Not wasted so much money on toys.
