    Peter,

Although I haven't looked at this part lately on a 328, I gonna say check-out a BMW dealer or used parts dismantler. I say this as I do know that the same part on a 308 is from BMW.

    Paul,

The switch on 412's, mine is a 1988 model, is also from BMW, mine is marked with the BMW logo and the text "mera", could be the same.

The 328 switch is not a BMW part, and NLA (unobtanium) unless found used. They are similar to a 635CSI switch in shape, but not the same (I have checked) They are a 328 specific part. We have been over this in several threads on this forum, do a search. The 308 switch is a cut down 80's Bimmer 5 & 7 series part, and they are getting tough to find new.

There is a dismantler in Rancho Cordova, California, the name escapes me, that has two parts 328 you could potentially source this part from. Not sure that helps being in Aus. but just a suggestion. Probably still $$ but take a look, maybe the Aus currency is good compared to our crap dollar these days, google to get there number. Last I tried, website disfunctional but try silverstar in the search as they have porsche and mercedes parts as well. Someone else may have there info.
