Sutil in the interview now... looks very very sad.

Q: In such a situation, don't you wish you had a sack full of sand with Kimis face on it?
AS: Something like that, yes, although it surely wasn't deliberately by Kimi, but he should have paid more attention

The same thing happened to DC yesterday at the exact same spot. If Sutil hadn't been there Kimi would have crashed into the same place too.

Reminder: This is a city street, not a race circuit. There are plenty of bumps around it.

Damn. LH is now 1st in the driver's championship... :(

Ferrari needs to get back on its feet in Canada (Kimi in particular). Lets hope for the best.

    Forza Ferrari.

+1 Vettel did very well too, both guys did well simply by driving clean and letting the carnage unfold around them....MUCH easier said then done! :D

Once again Kimi ends up with fastest lap of the race, if it wasn't for his horrible luck he could very easily be the winner today.

Not certain I follow you here...Massa goes from 1st to 3rd, Kimi from 2nd to 9th. Accidents and penalties aren't Massa's fault, and Kimi's drive was not even in the neighborhood of a good performance today. Massa was the victim of a 1-stop strategy gone awry (timing wise).

Are they penalizing Kimi in the Canadian race for this error?

Massa wasn't good, but Kimi was MUCH worse. His massive lack of speed in the middle of the race would only have been justified if he was on one stop, but obviously he wasn't... he plain sucked today

Maybe I was incorrect in that statement.. But I still dont think Massa was that good today.. We had 2 reds on the pole and the second in grid. Massa should have won, but he was not fast enough.

Yes, no doubt. I don't attribute that mistake at all to the driver, I don't blame DC for it either.

what horrible luck - he cocked up several times and was dog slow for most of the race.
the only thing that could even be considered "bad luck" was a poor showing by his team mechanics in causing a drive through penalty - and even then he stayed out for ages and didnt come in immediately which worked in his favour

    yeah dead unlucky.
not like that poor Sutil guy eh

Whitmarsh complaining what bad luck MCL had with the second SC... wtf? It cost them nothing, even more, Hamilton wouldn't have won if it hadn't been for the first Safety Car...

BS. Kimi and every other driver have put 100+ laps on this track this weekend, not to mention previous years. This is one of the most well-known tracks in all of F1. I am a big KR fan and I think he is an extremely talented racer, but he overstepped his boundaries this time. Even the best drivers screw up from time to time, none are perfect. The fact that he took out Sutil's marvelous race just makes it 1000x worse.

And for Massa, about whom I am still not convinced of his racing talent, considering how much he dislikes Monaco, I think he did quite a good job. Massa and Hamilton were pretty evenly matched until the end, so chalk this one up to good race strategy and a bit of luck for Hamilton.
