it was Kimi's fault, IMO. he was aggressive, and lost it under braking. not that i'm blaming him. he's a race driver, thats he's job.

anwyays, it's really amazing how the race went away from Ferrari and into Hammi's hands. they really seem to have bad luck at this track. been 7 years now since we last won there.

If there truly Is a bump or something on the road there (entirly possible it IS a street course) then it's there for everyone...therefore IT IS a driver error to not adapt....

Quite the contrary. This track changes every year, the driver do not know what to expect and this is used by regular traffic every other day of the year.

His fastest lap was meaningless. No traffic, fresh tires, no fuel, nothing to lose.

He was right behind Kovalinen. Certainly tells of what he could have done today had he had some better luck.

While I didn't like the end results, it was fun to watch.

I think it's clear that the two most polarizing drivers on this board are Massa and Hamilton. Hamilton drove an awesome race today, and Massa was very good in getting back ahead of Kubica after his incident at Ste Devot. The first safety car after Hamilton's accident was probably the difference in the race, as he was able to fill it up and run until the track dried up. Massa was double-stung as he had to change tires late (unplanned stop) giving second to Kubica. Had he stayed on the inters, he'd probably be out of the points.

Massa's, not Kimi's, race was more influenced by 'bad luck'

doesnt matter. Unless the bump appeared overnight then all the drivers know about it. Kimis tires were not even warm enough to make any kind of move.

I want to see Baldisseri squirm his way out of this one... Bad pit strategy. Left him out WAY too long!

+1, Kimi better buy him a 599 or something. If he doesn't I'll have lost a lot of respect for him.

do you read the whole post or just the bit that catches your eye ?

i reiterate he was dog slow for the majority of the race.
his fastest lap right at the end after he had killed someone elses race and when he was on fresh tyres and running on virtually no fuel is WORTHLESS

Outside of a nibbler, brilliant drive by Mclewis. Sutil, Vettel, Webber, impressive.

Results weren't great but the race was, as per the usual Monaco rain scramble.

    Off to hits the bricks...

yea. well, not a Ferrari, at least a beer :D

but seriously, that was some really smooth driving by Adrian. too bad Massa and Kimi had their own share of mistakes. was very very lucky of Hammi for that SC to come out after he went into the barriers.

Bull! The Bump (if there was one) didn't show up during th course of the race....

and the fact that all the drivers knew about it just reinforces my point, if his tires were cold he should have gone offline to avoid it. Fact is it's driver error to fail to avoid a known track issue like that.

He was driving overly aggresive and ruined someones race...

On that point...two years ago, how many of us would have expected Felipe to finish in the top 3 once it started to rain? He would have been languishing somewhere back in 9th or 10th, especially with no traction control. He was very competitive, but really was penalized by Lewis' luck with the first safety car after his accident (and the late pit for softs)

Lewis did a good job patting himself on the back during the postrace interview. This guy is getting to be just a tad too much lately.

I'll put some of the blame on Kimi, but the blame should not go entirely on him.
