Hey Tony, Same here. My 1995 came with two keys (tiny one and a larger one). No remote. I'm guessing the 95 didn't have a remote option. Doesn't bother me personally. I'm just really careful when I'm unlocking the door. Steve
I also have only 1 black remote for my new to me '97 F355 spider. Is there a simple method to disable/ bypass the immobilizer unit? Eliminate the need for a remote to start the car? I am not referencing the PIN code method but actually disconnecting the system or is the alarm system integrated into the entire electrical system. Feasible?
I wish there was...the odds of my 355 getting stolen are pretty small, most people can't even figure out how to open the door
No remotes needed for 95 cars----If you didn't have one and needed it --you wouldn't be able to start your car..
That's good to know! After reading the first page of this thread I was getting worried! I only have 1 key, and 1 black remote for my '95
On the topic of keys and such.... When i bought my car (95) I recieved 1 door/ignition key, and a smaller key (square handle). What is the smaller key for? I also noticed the car did have an alarm at one point; there is a red LED under the driver's side mirror. Would have this been after market?
My 1997 spider came with two black and TWO red remotes...I wonder why the two red remotes? Can they be used as a substitute for the black ones? I've never even tried them.
Great! I almost stalled it leaving I let it out about 1/4" and it pulled. I was used to letting it just about all the way out.
What do they do? My fathers 97 only came with one remote and two keys. The remote only works the alarm. Should it have came with more remotes? I found out the hard way the alarm is still active after you turn the battery off.
If you have the PIN, you're home free. Buy a complete set of THREE remotes (red, black, black) and get your car 'complete'. There are so few of them with all the remotes, that you'll be miles ahead of the competition.
i have the pin- and all the keys that came with the car 2 black remotes with keys and 1 red remote- aka the entire set the problem is one remote will not disarm the alarm- hence i thought it need to be reprogramed by the red master somehow since owner tickered with the alarm battery ( replaced it) and might replaced batter in remote as well- ( not really sure) just know that one remote lights up but doesnt disarm
