    I haven't found a great way to catch lightning other than to take a lot of pictures, I think my camera will shoot 3 per second, and hope the shutter happens to be open at the right time. Shot around 1400 pictures last night and only half a dozen caught anything decent, this is probably the best.

    Great shot,

    maybe try leaving the shutter open for maybe 5-10 seconds in which you might get some better results. i havnt tried lightning so dont quote me on it, but it should work...

    Glad Y'all like the pic

    Random way they do it in TX and a few other places.

    I was gonna give that a try but couldn't remember where the tripod which is pretty much required for that, guess the trick will be to figure out the ISO and aperture settings to work with the ambient light conditions.
