Experts: Does this look like an original LP400 brochure or not? Isn't the orginal more glossy? http://www.auctiva.com/hostedimages/showimage.aspx?gid=804433&image=135140835&images=135140710,135140835,135141003,135141135,135141247&formats=0,0,0,0,0&format=0
Thanks Giotto! I must admit that when I saw this feature -with this great action shots- about the LP 400 I was stunned. I had the SV from my dad but the LP 400 was Sience Fiction then! Since that time I wanted one - but had to wait more than 20 years!!! Ciao! Walter
I have no info on that DD QV. Joe can you confirm that Ferruccio's LP400S was built red and then he had it painted white? White S2...Still my fave.
Tony all I know is that it was supplied by SEA Automobili in Rome and was registered "Roma.Z92885". Of course it is 1121164... that is the car Ferruccio drives at speed and gets sideways in the "60 Minutes" show of renown. When he died he left it to his daughter. I will check the archives to determine if the car was built in white.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
... and in Cannonball twin-winged guise - note original 'Moody' ing without end-plates. Rarissimma... Image Unavailable, Please Login
It was red, repainted in white, I found red colour everywhere when we visited the wineyard in 2004, very bad paint job. The pictures in the registry are from this visit, I'm behind the car in the with shirt, my stepson is holding the door in another pic, the struts were shot...
Would love to know more about this car and hear the story first hand about how it got around being configured for import.. Amazing how many of these cars still fly under the radar after all these years. White DD where are you???

Bembridge Airport on the Isle of Wight in 1984 and John Morrison winds up Barry Robinson's famed "BR 33" in an attempt to see who was The Worlds Fastest Car as staged by MOTOR mgazine. (Boxer, 930 turbo etc). The previous year that title had been won by 12515, the first Countach I ever owned! Image Unavailable, Please Login
