How interested might the community be in a re-manufactured steering column switch unit (complete) for both the Dino and the Daytona? A friend who owns a manufacturing facility (plastic and electrical) has capacity to take on additional projects. I suggested that these column switch units are impossible to find and often in great need.

If manufactured identical to original equipment, with high quality (modern) plastics, would you be interested? There are 10 pieces of plastic in each unit (we counted). This requires 10 molds. Cost will be siginificant to build the first one.

Is the world wide community able to purchase 100? 500?

    What are you thoughts?

The column switches are available at our shop www.heinbrand.com There is no need for a reproduction. These cloumn switches can be used on the early 365 GT too, but have different end knobs like the later 365 / 400 / 512 / 308 etc.

    Thanks

    Jim,

I just have the original ones rebuilt. I've had good luck with Jim Simpson in Sonoma, CA.

I don't think you'll get a lot of takers as it is only people that show their cars that really care. About half the cars (Daytonas) I saw at the Cavallino Classic this year, including a 400 mile car, had the wrong 308 column stalk switches installed. If they don't care to use the corrent ones, then probably no one does.

Thanks for the feedback and comments.

Hein, may I ask what the cost of these units are? I cannot find the part on your web page.

    Thank you.
