    Are there actually any Miuras which are kept originally without a restoration?

    Some Miuras should have restored engines..Could you explain shortly how an engine is restored?

    I remember my question has been discussed in this thread..but i do not find it anymore.

    Not only Joe but also other users can answer my question.

    SV #5054 was never restored and is in a fantastic original condition still with its first paint. Its engine was never (!!) opened and runs as fresh as always. And - since almost 3 years the car is with its 2nd owner only!

    Yes there are still some unrestored Miuras in existence. I can think of about a half-dozen immediately.

    The engine can be restored in a number of ways: to factory original spec or otherwise. It would take several pages to detail how a Miura engine is restored, but having had it done several times, I shall elaborate in a seperate upcoming post when more time allows. It is quite an undertaking to get it right and now that Bob Wallace is in the twilight of his career, Id say Claudio Zampolli would be the most experienced person to do it in the USA. Gary Bobileff and others also are very capable...
