    Thats a very interesting list;

    does it follow that a cars 'original vehicle colour certificate' stating interior colour Nero 161 would have had a 'standard' scheme? i.e. black hide = black carpets etc? were there any standard schemes when the cars were sold?

    Was there ever a black metallic that would be right for a Dino? Or a really dark charcoal grey metallic? I like the Ferro, but would love it a shade or two darker. JIC I decide to repaint this fall. Love black. Can't handle the maintenance of it. It's OK now dealing with cracked, chipped, chicken-footed 34 year old paint but NO WAY I'm going through life with new plain black paint to care for. Life is too short, and swirl marks too persistent!

    MRONY!!! :D I was saying that Jon should consider metallic black a few weeks back. They didn't have metallic black back then it seems even though they should have... I know it wouldn't be original but I think it would look really great.

    Great job Jon. I finally know that the color I was trying to match from memory was 106-A-18 Bleu Sera Met. Got pretty close according to the picture. The two blue Dinos look pretty nice together. Of a family.

    Blue Celeste Met is very nice and certainly unusual. Just enough color to get dark shadows in reflections. MB and Porshe style silver is too flat when reflecting other objects or even the sky. Unless the light is just right it just highlights, no shadows. Just like my Dino when it was white. The Dino needs to show off it's lines in all light. Did you get the sample spray can and how does Celeste look in real life?

    I still like the idea of stopping traffic with Viola.

    There were apparently 2 Dinos delivered together in the color of Verde Bahram, 3404 and 3436 another color to add to the list although it's not a color in Speers color book. Maybe a special order?

    Jon,

    as I wrote yesterday, this is Verde Bahram 2.443.546. It seemed to be an official colour, although it was used on 5 cars only as original livery. Two Dinos (02670 and 03436, 03404 is sister car to 03436, but not confirmed to be Verde Bahram) and three Daytonas. No serial # of the 3 Daytonas is specified to be Verde Bahram.

    Bleu Sera is one of my most favorite colors for vintage Ferrari; do you recall the SA that was at Bella Italia? It was painted Bleu Sera and when I first saw it, AJ and I bolted over for a better view.

    It seems as though I remember a Rosso Cordoba 246 GTS for sale some years back in Florida; I think it was Motor Car Gallery. That car was so tough; it had a two tone Daytona interior to compliment the exterior paint. Omgjon; do you or anyone remember that car or have pictures of it?

    It's Prugna. Very coincidentally, I was at the dealership in Monterey this last week when the original owner was selling it (or consigning it) to the shop. Decent enough car, definitely driver status as it sits, although if it trully is all original, it would be a good car to put some elbow grease into and make it into a very nice original driver.

    Very cool pictures. This is now my favorite thread for obvious reasons, as I have been going through each and every color deciding on the fate of the next project. In some lights Viola can look very blue.

    I looked at buying a Prugna 328 once. This Dino was the same color to my eye. Also, I asked if it was Prugna and was told it was.

    That's if you're like me and can't decide what color to do the next one.

    The Azzuro Dino a few pages back is here in Perth. Has done a little over 11,000 miles and is in immaculate original condition. It is a treat to see.

    What a great thread. Thanks to all. Regards, Pete
