Just came across these two old photos I took at the 1965 NY Auto Show. Obviously not the best, but I thought someone might be interested. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I imagine someone knows which chassis that is and what races it won? Tom W
CH Wow. I don't think it was but I'd be hard pressed to say what else it might be. Even at a young age, shame on me for not getting a better shot. Think I have the program from that show somewhere so I'll see if there's any reference.
The car in the foreground on the left looks to be a Lusso. The one on the right looks like a Pf coupe but that wouldn't make much sense in 65. Tom W
Thank you for the pics,it is in 1963,between march (Sebring) and june when 4219GT,owned by Frank Crane, was repaint in white.
It doesn't look like a 500 Superfast, more like one of the earlier Pininfarina speciales. I can't see Ferrari showing these older cars at a 1965 show, and wonder if '64 would be more likely.
In the second photo the far car looks like a 400 SA to me. In the first photo looks like a pair of 250 GTEs in the background. Jeff
It absolutely was the 9th International Automobile Show, April 3-11, 1965 at the New York Coliseum. Stand 1, second floor, Chinetti's. I agree on the Lusso, but the only cars listed in the program were a 275/GTB, a 275/GTS, and the 500 Superfast.
