    WOW!! Thats the factory press car/brochure prototype with its engine cover bulge and lowered suspension... Id love to find it if it survives. Production prototypes have such unique features...

    See, now I on the other hand absolutely love those quirky "Prototipo" features. I have 2 factory-documented prototypes and I find them fascinating....

    Did someone have old magasine concerning test drive? in French or spanish be better for me
    i remember a magasine with a test drive made by Stephanson and Alboreto 288 GTO against Mercedes 190 Evo.
    don t remmember the magasine but it was really pasionating...23 years afther it s memorable test


    Also Giotto did you done Fondation Cartier in 87/88 there was a GTO (J Setton) if yes do you have pics?

    Indeed. Prototypes always received special attention from the engineers. Look at the finish and the detail; see how perfectly aligned and fitted the exhausts are, and how the ride height is beautifully set...

    Joe your comment about 'how the ride height is beautifully set' brings up an interesting question. When guys restore cars and use new and correct springs and shocks the car looks like it is all set for an 'off road' adventure. The car sits too high. The springs will settle some when driven but that puts miles on a pristine restoration. You should not have to cut new springs... How do you achieve proper ride height?

    The works set the ride-height for production cars a bit high. Ive seen this adjusted but am unaware as to what modifications were done...

    You're welcome, Joe... I have just fun to post some stuff. I took many race and sportscars photos in the 70's and 80's, but in the 90's I was more interested in WW2 aircraft.
    Joe, your Lamborghini site is very nice... I like especially the Miura factory photos and the Countach Periscopa photos. Both cars are really beautifull. Hope the Miura book is comming soon!

    Yes Christian, the Fondation Cartier in 1987... I was there. Very nice, with the Bardinon collection. But no photos allowed... That was NOT very nice! I didn't take any pictures of the Setton GTO, but I think there are some in magazines...
