This has got to be my all time bonehead moves Two weeks ago I had my fog lamps fitted with 3m film protection against stones etc...I know that these are hard to come by. So after boasting that everyone should be like me and protect your lights I do this.... So today I take the passenger lamp off to clean bugs out and I dropped it.. not very high but enough to hit the corner and crack it..DAMMIT.. Lucky the 3m held it together but it has a line down the middle. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE does someone have a 348 right side North American fog lamp for sale or know where I can get one? STUPID STUPID STUPID. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
I fully sympathize with you as these accidents have happened to me in the past. I wish you luck on finding a replacement.
Don't feel bad, Robert. One time when I was 20 I managed to drive my very own car over my own foot. I stupidly left my 88 T-Bird (yeah, I know) in gear while changing my battery cables. Leaning over the engine I dropped a screwdriver or a wrench or some damn metal thing, somehow making a connection between the starter and a hot cable, and sure enough the car rolled over my foot, almost up to the ankle. No major damage, but damn I felt stupid. Sorry to hear about your loss. Have you thought about trying a professional windshield repair? If it's only a small crack this might be able to fix it, at least until you can get your hands on a new one. Good luck in the search.
Potxoli had one for sale but it may be spoken for - check with him to see if his sale went through. Daniel @ Ricambi has a Japanese spec one, but it won't be an exact match to the NA model.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Don't beat yourself up over this.....**** Happens. I could fill this whole site up with some of the bone head things I've done. I have been freaked out about these lights myself, so I can understand your frustration.
BUWaaaHahahaa. Okay, okay, okay, I couldn't resist. I know how frustrating that can be, trust me I know, which is why I laughed. Been there done that. I was just busting your balls.
www.eurospares.co.uk seems to be a good resource - maybe contact them if your leads here don't pan out.
Really sad to hear this happened Roberto, but we all have made mistakes and that's the only real way to get experience. Nothing ventured... nothing gained.... About the only way to completely avoid an occasional goof is to not work on your car at all! Be proud that you're a hands-on guy with your Ferrari, and best of luck finding the lense or light!!
I would think some of the girls at your club could kiss it and make it better..... But then, I could be wrong.... Mike in Kuwait
Sounds good I wil try that.. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah kiss what... Ya that would make it better too... Hey buddy where you been hiding?
Dennis McCann maybe? www.allferrariparts.com has some fog/driving lamps listed but a call would probably be best as his site parts search engine is a little... spotty. DM
when I was looking they had them listed but it turned out to be a 328 fog, not 348....but maybe the've gotten a new car by now.
Try GT Car Parts in Phoenix as well: (623) 780-2200 I used to get a lot of parts in awesome condition from them, including a door skin for my 328 when my client backed into my car!!! Talk about a bonehead move: Door skin, glass, corner glass, labor= $11,700!!! -Billy
