This Countach is extremely low. I wonder if they took out the aluminum spring perches on the bottom of the shocks. The rims on the rear are almost level with the bottom of the flares!

I know this car, it's the famous Lais modified LP400s which was tested against a Koenig 512BB in german car magazine Sport Auto, I'll scan the magazine when I have some time left.

Holly maquarel! This episode is a shame and should be destroyed immediately!

1st the CT driver is a rapist. Not cool
2nd the good guys drive an F. really not cool.
3rd this a.hole slam the bad guy agains the CT. Downright not cool at all
4th To top ot off, the same a.hole quick the CT. A pure EURO DD! Now someone shoot that guy with live bullets right there.

After watching this, has anyone wondered why we have this thing going between Lambo and Ferrari owners?

This is a very sorry event and all the crew coming up with this should have been fired.

Brian: I think we are dealing with camera angles. This car is a Series 1 Lowbody...

"2nd the good guys drive an F. really not cool." Remember...those Daytonas were replicas built on Corvette chassis!

Oh God! then it makes this whole thing worst. An FF (Fake Ferrari..). The rapist should be driving that and that car should be the one being kicked.

Correct. It is "Sport Auto", issue July 1981. In that article they wrote that the car started life in 1976 as a "normal" Countach, i.e. it is a periscope car (... and here we still are in the periscopica thread? I am not sure!). Mr. Lais is said to have added the "S" modifications later.

In the German "Playboy" magazine (issue April 1983) the car was featured again.

I heard that was 1 thing you could spot a repaint .

I think this car was originally LP400 because its hand brake lever is located on the left side of driver's seat.

How could you locate the hand brake lever in Giotto's post no. 401?

Any idea for a chassis number?

    hard to see from pics

more the car does not look to have a periscope roof from top pics....an interior shot would help me but i still think is not an LP400

Yes a "quick & dirty" paint job would go over the caulk line but it is possible to "do it right". A proper repaint would not be immediately obvious.

LOL...you can tell that the sound of the car being kicked is dubbed in and of course no owner would
agree to that....now leaning on the radiator intakes is another story...creates those paint cracks that radiate
out. It's a good chase scene even with the Ct switcharoo.

OK Walter, you, and others, need to get over the permeation of images of other Countachs on this thread besides Periscopas, unless of course you are doing your part by supplying an endless flow of never-before-seen Periscopa images :)

Its nice to have a bit of variety, and I for one consider LP400S Series One cars with their LP400 engines to be an upgraded version of the LP400...

No, not necessarily... there is only one way to check for a repaint: have an experienced person look closely :)

sport auto 12/83 features the car, it has also the old gauges and no handbrake lever at the mid tunnel. But it got electric windows the buttons where built in at the ashtray position.
I'll scan the article tomorrow, I loved that perlwhite car, it was my dream car for years with this blue hide, amazing combination I would take it every day.
