I compared a Hill thrust bearing with the latest Ferrari bearing. I did not take them apart but from just the outer dimensions and the smoothness of the bearing movement I was convinced.
I also showed it to the guys at Ansa Motorsports (challenge car repair/race team) and they were going to start using the Hill bearing from now on.

What a pointless flame. The op is a fool, so many complaints, one of those customers nobody wants to deal with.

What's the big deal, Hills source/contract out their bearings and obtain them from a quality source in Japan (which btw produces quality products), 1000's of happy customers and great guys at Hills who back their product.

You should have kept this "posting" between you and the vendor, or at least let them reply to your email...

Maybe we can start a poll and have his user name changed.

First: I'm sure Daniel's "upper management" approves everything he does.

Second: Ricambi America is one of the most respected names on here, if not THE most respected name. Daniel and David go WAY out of their way to take care of their customers

Third: The OP is the one that needs to be more professional. Before you go to a public forum and trash talk a business, about a product you have absolutely NO knowledge about, you should express your concerns in private, so you don't make an a** out of yourself. Sorry too late for that!

I would have called Daniel first and gotten the low-down. Daniel is a stand-up guy and I trust him completely. I know you weren't trying to disparage him, but the thread casts an undo shadow over not only a site sponsor, but a great guy that stands behind his product. I can assure anyone who is even considering to buy product from them, they are top notch, period.

All I can say is the products from Hill Engineering are second to none and the service of Ricambi are super. I have order the tow hooks and the slick shift gate and was very very please . I will buy Hills products over anybodys product including Ferrari's. Thank God he has a ton of products for the F355 ferrari that are improvement over the standard products.

Get a life! I've dealt with Daniel and Ricambi on many transactions and only know him and his outfit to be more than courteous, helpful and forthright. It is you that is wrong for bringing this problem forward on a public forum before giving Daniel and Ricambi a good faith opportunity to address and/or resolve your concerns. IMO using this forum to prematurely air your "dirty laundry" is unfair and says volumes about your character. I hope Ricambi elects to never ship another order to you in the future. If it were me, I'd never do business with you again after something like this and tell you to take those bearings and shove them up your a$$!

Wow some of you guys love to flame some one for posting a legitimate concern. I think OP's concern was warranted. What was stated on their web site and what was inscribed on the received part was not the same. Just that in it's self should make someone call them out on it. It shows that someone is paying attention. With that being said Ricambi and Hill Engineering have posted a great explanations to back their great products that everyone here backs.

I for one am great full we had this thread, because I have learned that if you order enough from Ricambi you can get a free hat. that fits great and wears well too.

+1. And I'll pitch in some $$$ if the 40 bucks is all your worried about. I don't want to see Daniel have to eat a set of perfectly good bearings.

    Hat?

    I have two!!

And have we done enough in this thread now? Can I shut it down and let it wander to the bottom of the forum? Or should we just keep piling the accolades on for Daniel, Ricambi America and Hill Engineering?

Ah, what the hell, pile them on!

I am with OKA on this one. I think the guy had valid concerns. I think he could have handled it via PM's or a phone call possibly, but maybe he thought others here would have some insight. I am anti-troll, and certainly would not want to see Ricambi or any other dealers rep trashed without cause, but I think a few of you came down a little too hard on this mamber (even though I did have a chuckle or two, so I apologize to the OP for that!)

I don't think we 'came down too hard' on the post originator. The entire tone of his post was accusatory and aggressive. It is difficult to build a business with integrity and customer service. One irate (but misinformed) customer using a public forum can do untold damage to a business. It does not appear that he took the time to personally find out the answers to his questions before he decided to slam the reputation of Hill/Ricambi. I would be the first to take a business to task if I felt I was being cheated or ignored. This business has proved beyond any doubt that they are deserving of their customers trust and future custom.
