Depending on life cycle, (5 years) we should have seen some spy pix of F430 replacement already (F142).
Clearly, its not California, or, is it :(

If its delayed because of the California to 2012 or somethin', when the 130mg/k emissions is the law.
Considering Ferrari can never lower that much, will that mean the end of mid engine era, at least for entry level Ferraris?
Because, I've read that a F599 will have to pay £22.000 extra as a fine. (car is £180k without it).
We can think the same for F430 (not much different emi. i think), dont know bout you, but paying £20k more to £130k car seems a lot of extra to me. Add msrp+ to that, well we can forget about carbon breaks than. Maybe, as all new F430s, the new car will come with them standart to lower the full speced price.
Or maybe, the midengine replacement will be way higher priced than F430 to push people to buy California, which is sad and cruel.
I think the cheapest car must not be GT.

Seriously, where is the F430 replacement, am i missing something?

They just seem to be focusing on the California right now. How many Ferrari markets will be affected by the new emissions standards? It may be that you'll need to just pay a fine if affected. The whole emissions thing is a money grab anyway so paying up I'm sure will suffice. My guess is F are not exactly sure what direction they'll be going at this point in time i.e. keep building bigger HP engines or make a drastic change to greener cars. They may be waiting to see what the competition does. I'm sure they're trying to cover all the bases. Stay tuned.

Didn't they already admit to going greener? :) Lighter weight cars and turbocharging :)

I for one can't wait for that. I can see it now, a intercooled twin turbocharged 430 replacement!
