What's your favorite Ducati? What's your favorite Duc? Any Desmosedici riders around here? Any with more than 85 miles on it?

My personal duc is a Hypermotard- it's like crack for a hooligan addict. :)

I would not mind owning one of the new Ducatis which is basically a street legal version of their '07 GP bike. At $75K it's a steal LOL!

I had a Ducati 750 Paso. Beautiful bike, a little slow. I would love to have a 996, or even a yellow 750, but ... my wife unit is not going to let that happen. If my garage was bigger, I could buy one as art, but it has enough car junk that I can't do it now.

This pic is in the another fairly recent thread of similar subject. I have an early SS and an ST4 as well as my favorite - this 916.

I really wanted a Ducati or Aprilia to give my BB512i company in the garage. However, after test riding several of both brands, I ended up buying a 2008 Hayabusa instead. While not Italian, it is faster, more comfortable,is much less expensive to maintain than either the Ducati or Aprilia and looks better IMHO. Since both Japan and Italy were Axis members, the Boxer and Busa should get along just fine...

I have a Monster S2R 800. Nothing fancy, but fun to put around on.

I would love to get a Ducati Monster one day, with rising fuel prices, it makes more sense.

Is it me but ive been seing alot more Ducatis around my neck of the woods, it seems with the introduction of the 1098 and them winning the Moto GP, they sell much better.

I think Ducati had some lean years with the 999, winning championships and selling beautiful bikes will do the trick.

I had a Monster for a while, great city bike, decent in the twisties, great fuel economy, and the only bike I ever rode that got thumbs up from Ferrari drivers

I wouldn't mind having a 998R. Would be on display most of the time though, and only used on the track. Riding a bike on the street in SoCal is just asking for death.

    I've had 4 of them over the years. They were in order: '97 900 Supersport half fairing, , '98 748 Bi-posto, '99 748 S, and finally a 2001 749 Bi-posto. I have a '05 MV Agusta F4- 1000 now.

    Funny you should ask..

So I return from another business trip to Oz late on Thursday night to be welcomed with a treasure map leading to a stack of photos of my kiddo on some exotic-looking two-wheeled thing - and KEYS! Don't know what got into my honey, but he traded my beloved but very underused CBR600RR on a brand new 2008 with 2 miles work of art.. and yes, I've always wanted one, had it as my screen saver since before it came out, just couldn't justify it - guess now I'll have to ride it to work on casual Fridays LOL

    http://www.metricmotorcycles.com/yuliyasduc.htm

Went to ride it Friday - boy is this thing fun.. LOL Like I needed any more tickets.. Oh, and for some reason my honey thinks he's now got a 'get out of jail free' card at least till the end of the year.. don't know who gave him that idea LOL

It may not look like it belongs here, but it probably does thanks to the game of musical chairs which is the Italian motorcycle manufacturing industry: HD owned Aerimichi Motorcycles and used it in the 60s and 70s to produce Italian two-strokes primarily for the US market. The 1978 250 SX was probably the most advanced of those models. Further restructuring lead to the sale of Aerimichi to Cagiva Motorcycles, which at another point also owned Ducati, hence the connection... This one is in original condition in this pic, and has since undergone a complete resto.
