Its a good idea for those that work while on the road...realtors and such.

But yeah I would imagine bad things if someone actually thought to use it while driving.

Wouldn't this be one hell of an opportunity for a lawyer to sue the manufacturer to death if someone causes an accident using that stuff while driving? I mean, you guys in the US had more ridiculous lawsuits than that ;)

I'd have to think there would not be a jury in the US that would find the manufacturer guilty. Let's get a pro to chime in. I'll ask Art to chime in on this one.

Product liablity: known usage: yep, they'd be liable. Even if a person uses a product for which it isn't intended, if the design is negligent, the manufacture can be held liable. In this instance, it's pretty clear that the manufacturer intended that someone use this in their car, and driving the car is just another function. Can't believe some moron decided to manufacturer something like this. If they are a public company, sell short, they aren't going to be around long, I suspect.

That's a WOW! How about Fry's? Would they be held liable for just selling it? This is simply an unbelievable product!

They sell all kinds of pointless crap for computers. I think their buyers are on crack. You might as well sue them for causing diabetes to a majority of their customers with all that candy & junk food conviently placed the checkout waiting line.

Can't believe anyone would decide to manufacture anything at all with such legal circumstances...although of course the product in question here really is questionable. Thanks for the clarification!
