I am looking into selling my camry and getting a BMW Z3 since you can get them for under $10,000 at these small dealers, what are some things to do and look for when checking out the car and is it a mistake to even buy from them?

Same as anything...get a PPI. But understand that a <$10k Z3 is going to have its share of flaws.

If the mom and pop wont let you have a mech check it out just find another one. plenty out there.

WAY better choice than that butt ugly Z4! I like the Z3 M's! WOW! They are nice. The last of the Z3's looked better too...they did some tweaking along the way that is VERY subtle but makes for a more complete looking package in my opinion.

Good luck and post pics when you get one!

This is all you need to know other than getting as much history on the car as possible.

There's nothing wrong with a "Mom & Pop" operation or buying from a guy who always seems to have a few cars for sale down the block, as long as the cars check out and you have them inspected.
