Tire Pressure Check on your 360

Hi:

Someone advised me to check the tire pressure on my 360 before every time I drive it. That seems a little extreme. He had a 355. Is this good advice? Anything different about the tires on a 355 versus the 360 that would warrant this?

I check mine about every other week (I drive my car every weekend) but rarely found that they've changed. If there's a big temperature change I will definitely check them before going out on a spirited run.

 

My tires have been very consistent in psi over time, I have yet to add air. The only time I add or subtract air is before and after track days. Checking before every drive is a little excessive, unless you only drive the car every 3 months.

The 360 is quite sensitive to tyre/tire pressures but mine rarely lose any air, I do check them every couple of weeks though. When I originally bought my car, it did feel a little too pointy, I checked the pressures and they were around 5psi over and above what they should have been. After setting the correct pressures, my 360 was transformed .

 

I do monthly checks.

 

Use a tire valve tool to tighten the tire valves to minimize air loss.

 

what tire pressure do you recommend?

 

I was just going to ask the same question.
Personally, I keep all 4 at 34 psi for street driving. I am open to suggestions.

 

I'm certainly no expert on tire pressures, but according to the 360 Modena WSM the pressures are as follows, for each OE tire option:

2.0 BAR = 29 psi
2.2 BAR = 31.9 psi

remember if your filling a hot tire, the pressure will be different if hot

 

I check mine everyday but then again as posted in the other thread I see triple digits on a regular basis and I had this happen in my old Maserati slowing down from 160mph, so I'm a little paranoid.

Really smooth surprisingly. The actual blow-out was about 90mph.

 

I check the tire pressure on my cars about once weekly.

Once you get to know your cars, you'll know which ones (and which tires) tend to lose air faster.

It's definitely worth checking on a regular basis.

I printed, in large type, the tire pressures for all my cars and stuck it on the wall of my garage for easy reference... works great.

I check mine about twice a year. I have tried running the factory specs, but it makes the car ride far too rough. I run around 28.5 PSI front and rear and that's much nicer and the car handles a lot better. I'll have to double check which tires I have on there. I'm at sea level and the temp is usually around 55 degress.
