Have to admit I kind of like it, too. . . but I'd feel absolutely silly in one!

For $350k, I'd be in a 430 in a heartbeat - and keep the change!

Yeah. Not a 430 for me, but it would definitely be an exotic sports car or two, rather than that enormous boat. I wonder how it handles considering its sheer mass.

Three great cars in Cherry Creek tonight within one block of one another: a maroon Ferrari F430 Spider at North on 2nd and Clayton and a gray F430 Spider at Prime 121 on 1st and Clayton... and a gorgeous black BMW Z8 on 1st and Detroit, just one street over from the Ferraris. By the way, I've posted that dark red 430 Spider before... it's the one where the owner famously drilled through his front bumper in order to mount the front license plate. Interestingly the last - and only - time I saw that car was a year ago on Monday.

I saw a beautiful red 348 tb on hwy 6 between Avon and Edwards yesterday afternoon. It was being driven by a pretty lady no less.
Not exactly a Denver spotting but hey close enough, right?

A Silver Aston Martin DB9 in the Vail Village Parking Structure (only the second time I could get up close to one, this car is GOURGES!) and a dark blue Bentley Continental GTC west bound I70 heading though Vail.

This should satisfy your curiosity: http://youtube.com/watch?v=z2W_QTqeVlA

According to Jeremy, "Watching this heave itself 'round here is a bit like watching Queen Victoria do the 400 meter hurdles. Technically possible, but a bit embarassing."

LOL I love when he compares it to the new "Toyota Avensis"

    :D Gorgeous, isn't it?

Only good spot worth noting thus far today was an early-model Dodge Viper RT/10 on Downing at around 1pm just west of Wash Park.

Spotted (most likely) the same machine heading up to Beaver Creek today, also, a black MKIV Supra Turbo heading east on I70, I could hear the turbo from about 30 yards away!

A blue 996 turbo cab with a ugly carbon fiber spoiler on Grand in Glenwood Springs tonight.

I remember seeing a blue Vantage recently speeding down Market and bouncing around from the dips on the intersections, can't be good for the front bumper.

Oddly the only decent car I caught on the roads tonight was a red Ferrari Mondial Cabriolet at around 8pm going down 14th at about Stout. It was doing exactly what a four-seat Ferrari was designed to do, as it was being driven by a man and had a blonde in the passenger seat, and another in the back. :)

Caught a black Aston V8 Vantage at about 58th and I-25 around 12:50. I was on my way back from Automezzi, which was pretty sweet!

While I admit it's sort of cheating, three from the Automezzi parking lot at around 10:30: a gray Dodge Viper GTS, a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder on veteran plates, and a black Ferrari 328 GTS. Automezzi itself was a blast, although I only got a few pictures, and I think only of a couple of the Ferraris. For as good a car spotter I am, I'm horrible with photos at shows! I'll get them up soon, though.

Best spot of the day, though, was unrelated to Automezzi: on my way there a gas station near 13th and Wadsworth, a crazy orange 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird (the one with the "shopping cart" rear wing) on dealer plates filling up. Crazy sighting!

I got the one for my nephew Luca (he's waving in the photo that comes in the series following the ones I took at Automezzi today) from RTO pedalcars.

There was also a little boy being pulled by his father in a similar, though smaller pedal car. He had it tricked out with an Alpha badge (although it's a replica of a Ferrari 500), along with a really cool custom dashboard and some other great stickers and emblems. Very well done!

I bought the one for Luca Christmas before last. It's the biggest and most solidly built pedal car I have ever seen. Bit of a trick to put together (wanting to be like a real Ferrari ;) ), but should be worth it: It says it should fit kids up to about eight years old.

Try www.RTOPedalcars.com There are other sites that have them, too, but their prices are higher.

Hope you find one, and that your kid enjoys it!

    I spoke too soon!

I see that the RTO pedal car site is no longer available. However, this company is advertising them for even LESS than I paid - and I paid over $100 less than the British sites. Try these guys. They say this model has been discontinued, but they're offering their remaining inventory of red or green for only $330. (I paid 350; the British sites are asking $450 and up!)

Silver Audi R8 coming down from Beaver Creek then heading east on I70. This is the first time in a long time that I have gotten pure giddy over seeing a car! If the owner is reading this, sorry about following you, but...wow!
