Aussie ferrari owners beware

Thanks for the info. I live in Sydney but good to know if they decide to come to Sydney. We also have these crooks here in Sydney as well. I guess the moral of the story is that the workshop is the first impression. If the workshop does not look right then walk away.

Couldn't many of the observations about the shop have been made prior to selecting them for service...?

 

check the hit counter since it was placed on the interweb and see what relevance it has done for humanity?

if a mistake was made, and that will be debated forever, should it stick forever?

i got ripped off once, but am man enough to let it go, unless someone is stupid enough to bring it up, then i need to set it straight.

my life is not that boring that i dedicate a web page to it.

You should make a complaint to Dept of Consumer Affairs in Victoria. They have a process for just this type of event, will cost you a small amount of time filling out forms but they will investigate and, if nothing else, the owner of the business will get a scare that might make him think twice next time.

I have used the equivalent system a couple of times in relation to bad service from boat repairers in Sydney and received worthwhile compromises from the offending parties.

 

Nothing on here will clean up the industry. As long as anybody can paint a horse on the wall and call himself a Ferrari "specialist", these stories will happen.

btw there is an occasional other side too - Ferrari owning low-lifes have attempted to rip off conscientious repairers.

Interesting story, but it's a bit hard to believe.
First I don't understand how you managed to drop of your car at the wrong "Black Stallion" if you know Tim & Dennis personally.
Also, if the place looked like crap, why leave the car there ? How did you find the "wrong" Black Stallion / are they in the yellow pages / phone book? And, what's the address of the "wrong" Black Stallion, so no one else makes the same mistake ?

1st you say you know the people at Black Stallion Motors personally, then later in the post, you say you were refered to them and didn't know there was another "black stallion"... Welll if you know them personally why would you need to be refered to them? Also why wouldn't your personal friends tell you the correct address?

I did a quick google and black stallion motors comes up as http://www.blackstallionmotors.com.au/ while prestige comes up as a subaru place in the trading post, they don't even mention anything Ferrari related

You also say you worked in the industry/workshops, so when you say you saw the condition of the workshop why did still proceed? (atleast re-read your post b4 posting bs, so it makes some sense).

Anyway, sounds like someone at Black Stallion Motors is pissed off someone got a similar name, but there is a right way and wrong way to do things, and posting BS about another company is the wrong way, esp when they not even trying to advertise as a Ferrari specialist.
