AUS Ferrari and Exotic Spotters

I live in CP...I have missed that one... There is/was a gray (I think) 348 up in Leander for awhile. I am not sure if Chris is still in the area or still owns the car. He and I worked for the same company in our high school days (D/FW area), I dated his sister for awhile, and we reconnected here in Austin through the Porsche club, then he got rid of his 951's and got the Ferrari!

James, I assume you have a Ferrari? A few of us exotic folks live in Cedar Park, Leander area.

I remember seeing the Gray/silver in a Wendy's drive through over at 1431 and 183 a while back, I was behind him in my Viper at the time...too funny. To my defense though, I was stopping for my passenger

 

No, I don't yet have an F car. 6 REALLY NICE Porsche 928's (one a full on race car for Club Racing), so if you see a 928 in the area it is probably me...

Looking to add a 400i/412i by the end of the year... we will see how things go. Looking for resale Red exterior... Prefer tan interior, but not picky on that. Just need an automatic (I am in a wheelchair) and a car that is in good condition and is not going to need an immediate infusion of $$$$$!!!

I'll keep my eyes peeled for you guys!

I also live in CP and have seen a really nice black 928 in the past. One time, I saw a black 928 GTS off Volente.

 

I probably know the black GTS...As far as I know there is only ONE black GTS in Austin... My white and silver ones a salmon type colored one, and I think there is one bright red one too. They only ever imported 422/406 (depending on who's numbers you look at) from '93 to '95 so you don't see many of them around.

Thanks for the link. Matt used to take care of my '88 911 cab back in the early 90s and what a grreat guy, always took good care of his customers. BTW, what did he do with the black pantera?

 

I have always liked Matt. He sold the Pantera and paid off his house w/ the proceeds!!! How about that?! Awesome! Not to long after that I guess is when he bought his Speed Yellow '01 996 Twin Turbo! What a car that was! He has now sold that one too. Said that it did not hold its value as he had hoped it would but that he really did enjoy the car. Now he has a 928 S4 in white to go with his 928 S in black! Momma has a 951 and Chris (son) has a 944! I think they also have an SUV of some kind are are about to have a 968! They are a fully front engine Porsche family now I think!

Saw a red 360 parked at a house in west campus the other day, anyone know of anyone living in west campus driving an f-car, don't think it would actually be a student living there?

 

Did you notice if it had the standard star looking wheels or the three-piece five stars?

 

A saw an orange (red?) Miura on 360 yesterday afternoon...it's the first one I have ever seen.

 

I forgot the actual color name but I think it's considered to be orange. It's a new car to town and it's the second Miura in Austin.

 

I'll have a look the next time I drive by, whoever it is leaves it parked outside, it needed a bit of a wash

 

2 red Vipers. One GEN1 and one I couldn't see very well. It was by some ranch house on the 620 side road to get to Parmer LN. Reminded me of GotOne, but I don;t think it was him.

 

I live just north of 620 on Parmer lane...can't quite figure where you are referring too...not that I have a Viper or anything... Slew of 928's, but not vipers or Ferrari's (yet, anyway, hope to by end of year)...

Yea, I know where you are talking about... I have seen them there before. Not sure that they live there though...I don't think so.

I used to live in The Woods at Brushy Creek on Cambria Dr. I live in Breakaway (.75 miles south of Hwy 1431) on the west side of Parmer Lane...it is the subdivision with the airport in the middle.

If you are up this way stop by...I don't have any F-cars, but I have a whole slew of P-cars!

Hold on, I think I have seen you before. Do you own a Black 928? I live in the Woods at Brushy Creek as well/or still do. By the way, I have no F-cars, I'm just 18.

 

Too funny. I currently live in the Woods on Brushy Creek and I pass by Breakaway everyday on my way to work...at least once a week I dust off the Viper and head by you...looked at buying in that place...but no one had a place for sale at the time...

 

Wow, small world. I've never seen a Viper in this neighborhood, only exotic is a Smart.

 

REALLY DARK BLUE, might have looked black. We have not lived in WBC for 4.5 years now... I have driven though there more than a few times since though. I go to church over at St. Philips UMC at the corner of Racine and Great Oaks...

Yeah, If you drove on Monona every morning, I definitely saw you on my walk to middle school back then.

 

There is a Smart car in the Woods? I have been there 4 years now. Just look for the house who normally has different exotic cars parked out front on the weekends

 

Not in the AM in that car... I have a company car that I would have been driving in the AM. Afternoons though you would have seen me. I lived on Cambria...I backed up to the ranch near the end of the block that backs up to it. Red brick 3 car garage...

Where? Im like right by the middle school on Hamden, which is the 2nd right once you turn left onto Monona. 2 story red brick house. Yeah, I saw a blue Smart driving around, my friend's Dad has a M6 in the back in Oak Brook.
