I'm getting older reading this thread. Does that mean I can get a Ferrari? Hi Yin. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
wow most of the ppl that responded to this thread seem really stupid and probably dont even own one. I got enough money to rent a ferrari and will have enough money in the next year to buy one if i like. Money isnt even an issue so i dont see why ppl in this thread are such jacka$$es. i just thought it would be fun to drive around for a day in a really fast car and do crazy stuff. Believe it or not within the last few months everything has changed and im gettin money so things i said in the past are irrelevant.
You are right. Money is meaningless. There's a lot of haters on this board. Be a real man and charter a big jumbo jet. Fly it out over the ocean and do cool aerobatic tricks. Go nuts.
Stop talking and start thinking about what you are saying. A wise man once told me... "If you find yourself in a hole, STOP DIGGING!!!!" Man, you are still not listening. Please do everyone within 10miles of you a favour and hire a Prius.
I am glad someone can amuse a love gun toting 18yo who drives mommy's mercedes. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=195858
Rent some books from the library and try to read them. And quit wasting time on F-chat. You obviously have more money than brains; what a pity...
It's all about money, if you have a legal DL, and you have enough money to rent a Ferrari, and insurance that will cover the worst possible scenario, then I don't see a problem even an 18 years old renting a Ferrari. I knew a 19 years old boy who is filthy reach rented a 355 in Las Vegas.
its amazing how many people think that the rental fee entirely goes to paying off the car insurance, gas, rent, marketing, tolls, labor, maintenance, interest, taxes, all get factored in as well.
True, but you gotta be honest, those exotic rental places are HUGE ripoffs and bring in big profit for what they are. What probably keeps them from paying them off fast is that they don't get enough rentals. It's not that easy to rent exotic cars for thousands a day. People who have that kind of money don't need to rent them. I'd let people rent my car for those kinds of prices. Problem is, no one wants to.
I know the owner of G.T.A exotics and i'm pretty sure if he thinks your a goof then odds are you're not getting the car especially when you say you want to rent it to go fast and do crazy stuff, i've been lucky enough that i've been around exotics my entire life and have been driving them since i was legally allowed to and even before that(parking lot etc) and the last thing on my mind was to go fast and do crazy stuff if you do somehow manage to get a car from them i suggest crusing richmond on a friday night pick yourself up a club whore and go get laid....
Wow... a lot of haters! Not everyone is in the same economic situations. There are some 20 year old guys who have a lot of money. End of story. Get over it.... Be careful if you rent an exotic. If there are any mechanical issues with the car they can come after you to pay the expense claiming that the renter abused the car. The clutch is a favorite one to blame on the renter. A clutch is an expensive item on an exotic!!!! It is kind of a crap shoot.
I don't think it's about hate; most F-car owners probably had aspirations of driving or ownership at age 20 also and we don't hate someone else for same. What alot of "mature" owners find intolerable is the attitude that a "less mature", well-funded entitled individual has toward renting an exotic with the purpose of "going fast and doing crazy stuff." The all-too-frequent result of that sort of attitude/behaviour make for gory headlines and paint a picture that we all have to live with. That is not what Ferrari's or Ferrari driving or ownership is all about in my book...as has been said many times before-"man has to know his limitations"...
The expression "haters" is just that, an expression. It does not connote the full strenght of the word "hate". With that being said, very nice post..... As a person who rented a Ferrari in his 20's I can understand the desire of other guys who want to experience driving a Ferrari. When I did it it was an incredible experience for me! I don't think that someone who would like to drive a Ferrari for a day should get the amount of criticism that the original poster received.
I've got 4.5 years of active business experience in this industry that indicates that every single one of those statements are wrong. --Noah Gotham Dream Cars
Hi Noah! Do you rent to customers so young? I remember at that age having a heck of a time when I needed a vehicle in Central Florida to get to the coast and do some surfing, a boat racing team finally just loaned me their transport truck, 'cuz it just wasn't gonig to happen, on ANY kind of car! LOL!
If the OP is interested in just having a good time driving some exotics then the Road and Track Live program is a nice option: http://www.roadandtracklive.com/ I'm about to do this this Saturday the 14th and I'm intensely excited. A good way to feel and drive some beautiful cars with some other enthusiasts. This is pretty much a dream for me.
