I remember a thread with a retractable front license plate frame. Been searching and can't find it. I live in NJ and need a front plate, but don't want a front plate.
I have and I got two tickets. One for the plate and the second for clear plastic over the rear plate. NYC TBTA cop with nothing better to do!!
Check this one out. It slides into the front tow hook hole and can be removed: http://dynamtechgroup.com/ferrari-license-plate-holder.php
Has anyone used the plate holder that scews into the towhook attachment? Im wondering if any parts of the holder or the rod will scrape against the bumper. Is the rod thin enough to work with a challenge grill? TIA -Peter Oh
Ohio requires front license plates too. Fortunately Michigan and Florida do not. Michigan is out of money and anyone can license any car (or trailer) there even with an out of state address. Easy for me as I live in Toledo, 25 miles from the nearest friendly license bureau. I know there is a company in Florida that will setup a legal mailing address for you then provide licensing there too. A local policeman told me about the Michigan deal.
Don't drive like a doof and most cops will leave you alone. Been without a front plate for a few years so far and no issues. The people with problems are the ones who put the plate in the front window, it screams illegal. Rather than just leaving it off and flying below the radar.
If Dynamtech makes it you will not have an issue. Greg is pretty finicky. And if he made it, he will use it too, So I would have to believe it's made right
I ordered it last Friday and received it on Saturday. Great product and quick shipping. I'll leave it in the trunk just in case I get pulled over.
