i just noticed on that page that McG is directing Terminator 4...?

It's ironic, since McG himself is an android from the future determined to destroy American cinema, and take the taste of all moviegoers with him.

 

Lest we forget, they're already remaking The Hulk, what, 3 years after the last Hulk movie?

 

As a fan of the film Robocop Im disgusted that it would be remade.

But from a business perspective why wouldnt they take advantage of properties they already own ? The business model for these remakes it much less risky than original films.

As time passes we will see less and less truly original films as everything is either a remake or based on something thats already in the public eye.

After all it is the film BUSINESS.

 

Simpson's made a good "Hollywood is full of Morons" joke today-

Homer on the phone- "WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE A MOVIE ABOUT CAPTAIN CRUNCH?...and is it going to be rated R or hard R?"

Well, that explains the Robocop 1,2,&3 marathon on cable.

But didn't you figure out that they've gone through the bottom of the barrel back when they did a live action (sic) version of "Josie and the (forumfilter)cats"?

I'm just waiting to see what happens if SAG calls a strike. If you've noticed the different focus in each Pixar film, I wonder if they're just about ready to do away with the actors completely.
(The writers went on strike, and I didn't notice any difference.)

 

That was a really good movie. Writers need to come up with something new. All these remakes are getting too old.

 

I will only go see this next RoboCop if they promise to make it even more violent and full of black humor than R1 & 2. They dropped the violence and R3 sucked.

Who can forget in R2 when the bad guy's (Cain?) brain/eyes/spinal cord are looking out of their jar at the doctors talking while holding his own empty head. Pure cinematic genius.

Rather than just making him a Detroit Police Officer, maybe make Murphy a US Marshall so he can catch terrorists, smugglers, and armed polygamists...

 

And I thought Hollywood deciding to remake Death Race was bad enough.

 

He will pull it off and it will be very successful...regardless of if its any good.

Which is why the remakes wont stop for quite a while. I'm still waiting for the Lord of the Rings remakes. I'm mean come on, its been a few years.

It features the guy from 18 Again (with George Burns) and The Delinquents (with Kylie Minogue). This guy (Charlie Schlatter) makes a horrible Bueller, and has the nerve to decapitate a life-size image of Matthew Broderick.

Oh, and you'll find Peter Patrelli's mom (from Heroes) as Ferris' mom.

Did I mention that Jennifer Aniston is Bueller's sister?

Okay, hang on. If we keep having remakes why did we have a writer's strike?? I mean what the hell are they good for, their job is finished.

 

They should have stopped after the first one.

 

That's cause Ang Lee f***** up the first remake and they need the Hulk for the eventual Avengers movie in 2011.
