That system was good 6 years ago. Sorry I had the same system expect mine was just a ZR3 and not the full blown system. The ZR3's along with other LED (weaker powered) jammers have alot of trouble at long distance's and close range because of the lack of power output so to overpower the cops lidar beam.

This is my system....Laser Star: 1 head upfront and 1 rear head in the rear

Sensor under the europlate (7-0 saves against police traps with various close and long range laser traps)

    Controls for the laser star

Rear head (3-0 against police laser traps from the rear)

Did some night testing with one of the guys from (www.laserjammertests.com) he is holding a Pro Laser III in the middle

Very subtle! Mine has also successfully saved me, but as it was purchased 5 years ago I am not shocked to hear it's not the latest tech out there.

Btw, I hope you did not think I was being rude or disrepectful in anyways. From what I have learned and seen by attending these testing is from the new police laser guns is that the older jammers like ones that I owned and have mentioned before have alot of trouble with jamming them. I will have some video tests of my ride once the weather is nice once summer arrives. But my co-worker had his Audi installed with the laser star and here is some video of that. I am just posting these videos so you can see this system work against different police laser guns.

Thanks for the info. I would have to say though that I have had nothing but good results with both of my recent passport systems. They have saved me many times and have never failed. I am located in Canada. Maybe there is a difference between the laser radar guns that are used here. Where are you located?

P.S. I wouldn't think you are being rude. Information is always welcome.

Thanks....Where in Canada are you located? I know when I went upto Canada the Canadian border guard noticed my rear jammer head and asked if that was a laser jammer and I told him nope...its a parking senser so he tested it and is went beep...beep...beep and he said good because if it was i would have to write you a ticket and have it removed on the spot. I just contacted the guys from laserjammertests.com and they said just north of me in B.C., Canada they use the: Pro Laser III, Ultra Lyte 20/20 (100pps,125pps and 200pps all 3 different laser guns), Stalker LZ-1, Pro Lyte (Bino) and the Laser Atlanta III w/Stealth Mode. The cop's in Canada use the same laser guns (well expect for the 100pps) in the states.

    Gang,

SF-based Fchatter here. Would love to find a RELIABLE built-in laser/jammer system here to fend off the rozzers. Any suggestions?

well I really love my laser star system because its very compact and blends in very nicely, well except for the rear head but that will be fixed soon (Custom install in the trunk lid handle coming). I also love that the laser star works as a parking sensor and that is a great excuse because that what the users manual says it is...not a laser jammer. Its a laser jammer first...parking sensor 2nd. It has saved me 10 times at short and long distance's and it had no problem jamming those poor coppers. I also really like the CS from the company (no problems) because they answered all my questions without any hesitation and my system was in my hands in a few days since there is a US Rep for laser star.

I would take anything StealthDriver26 says about the LaserStar with a grain of salt as his only posts on this forum are about the LaserStar and bashing other systems. Everything he says may be true but I suspect another agenda or an undisclosed interest in LaserStar's well being. Just my opinion.

I'm located in Alberta. I think B.C. has some kind of law against radar detectors or jammers. In Alberta it is fully legal. So far I would have to say I have no complaints I haven't had any problems on my M5. The install on the 575 is new so I guess I'll have to wait and see.

A group of us spent a Sunday a few weeks ago testing out a collection of laser jammers on Ferraris and other toys with a real police issued laser gun. What we found most interesting was that a Ferrari was very hard to read with a laser gun from the front. About the only thing we could aim for that was reflective was the lights. Here in Georgia we do not have front license plates so there is very little reflective surface to aim for. From the back we could get them from further away since we could hit the rear license plate.
Those giant BMW front ends would have much more surface area to aim for and therefore would have more use for these.
We could hit a Mercedes S63 from almost 1000 feet, but a Ferrari 430 from only 100 feet. The darker colors were even worse. My dark blue 456M was about 75 feet only by aiming for the fog lights.

The detectors we used worked very well in finding the laser guns around corners and from far away.

Just my real world input for what its worth....

How resilant to damage is the detector in your mounting position? I've seen alot of apps similar to yours and always wondered about damage to rocks, etc. Is the case made extra strong to resist such damage? I imagine...
