Long story short, i recently found out that my ex-sister in law and nephew were killed in a car accident within the last 2 years.I had not talked to them in over 10, it was a bad separation. I tried to search and found nothing- anyone have some search skills? send me a pm and I will give you the name and last know residence. Thank you very much.

When i was trying to hunt down an old friend from daycare, myspace was probably the msot useful. Might sound obvious, but not sure what you've tried.

If you know the state where the accident occured, you might have the state police search for an accident report.

a private investigator has access to a good database where they can even see tickets / loans / registration ...................................................

    I would try them first

( I only know this because my dad's friend was one and he showed me the crazy amount of info he could pull just by a name...)

What sort of information are you looking for on them? Their death certificates would be kept at the locality where they died (at a State level at the VERY least) most are kept in the offices of the County or City clerk where the death occured. Some states allow unlimited access to death certificates and treat them all as matters of 'public record' where anyone can get a hold of a certificate and some states will only allow them out to next of kin only (if you are wondering you are not next of kin).

If you are unaware of where the accident occured I would try the local newspaper's archived death notices and obituaries. This would probably give the name of the funeral home that handled the arrangements for the funeral. The director at the funeral home may be able to provide some assistance in obtaining death certificates and so on.
