That's the UK for you, criminals, youths and low lives get away with murder.

Innocent bystanders get screwed at EVERY opportunity.

The car belonged to a member on the Lp forum, last I heard the dumb kid was only getting a slap on the wrist but the owner was out thousands for repairs.

Yep, and they are getting away with more and more each day. Hopefully, the majority of them will have their Karma catch up with them in the form of a very accurate sniper, but a freak accident with a juggernaught and lots of pain will do.
It honestly makes you ashamed of being British sometimes.:(

Not sure but if my memory serves me, the kid had to pay restusion like a few hundred pounds to his thousands.

I had my SE30 parked outside of Balboa on Filmore in San Francisco, in the valet section along the street, and some drunk ******* ran across the front hood, and windshield and roof the same way, but jumped off over the roof, kind of at an angle, not head on like the drink Brit did. I was inside the bar and saw it, but he ran away before I could catch him, which is a good thing because I probably would have been in jail for murder if I could have caught him. Luckily the front bonnet is carbon fiber, so it flexed and rebounded to its original shape, but I had to repair scratches in the paint. You almost have to pay somebody to stand by and watch your cars in areas where drunks are. Being valet parked didn't help at all.

Sorry you had to go through that, a little off topic but from my observation San Francisco has a big homeless problem.

Typical Brit that can't handle his drink, big man when his mates are around. I don't want to say what I would do to him if that was my Lambo.

You are correct, I just read the article. Usually restitution is for the entire damage amount. Maybe the kid got away with only a thousand pounds because he was unemployed. This is so wrong.

sounds just like america to me.

from what i remember the jude ordered him to pay a fraction of what the actual cost was to repair the lambo. i'm sure being the scumbag that he is he didn't even repay that. i'll never understand why judges make monetary rulings and never enforce them why even bother then.

In the video he doesn't look like a kid to me, he looks old enough to get his ass kicked big time.

Man.. this video really pissed me off.

Regardless of where he's from... a drunk idiot decides to run over a car worth more than he'd be able to make in 5 years IF he was employed. It's a pity the penalty wasn't more harsh.

This stuff happens all over. One of my friends parked his Murci Roadster in front of the Valencia Hotel at Santana Row here in San Jose (very upscale area) and someone at the 2nd floor of the bar threw their chewing gum off the balcony and into his car... made a total mess.

May not necessarily be drunk, a lot of these kids go out looking for kicks and record a video of the crime on their phone, it 'seems' to be a trend of some sort.

This has happened with rape cases, beating up other youths, murders etc...

The UK has gotten particularly bad in the past few years, crime is on the up and it appears the police do not have the resources to handle this crime or acknowledge the issue.
