Sometimes I regret getting Rigby. When I am on travel, I REALLY miss her! Sure, I miss the family, but there is something different about a pet. The family you can call when on the road, but you can't just talk to your dog when you are a thousand miles away! Meodie says that when I'm on travel, Rigby gets kinda mopey after a day. When I get home after a few days, she's all over me for an hour! Any pet owners feel the same way?

Yeah I miss Lady; my Lab mix, when I'm away from home. Last year I worked away from home home for 6 months. She was with me most of the time, but there were a few times that I left her with Mom for a couple of weeks. Mom said Lady would mope around and just seemed depressed when I was gone. That's the only reason I don't try to get a job with KBR overseas. I could make a lot more money for a year or two, but I don't want to leave my dog behind (sappy, I know) I'm also tired of leaving home ( I was deployed 3 times as a soldier).

Here she is as a puppy, relaxing after some serious play time.

    Ah Man...

I just dropped my dog, Dallas, off at the vet this evening. Kills me! My wife and I have been out of town 5 out of the last 6 weeks. This is it for a while. He walks into the vet and they all say Hi, Dallas! They love him there (for damn good reason). I know he has fun there and they treat him well. He always looks happy when we drop him off. Makes me comfortable!

Of course! You come home and you not hear your dog or cat ***** and moan about having to mow the lawn, pay the bills, the kids drove me crazy, you have to do this and that tomorrow.......and on....and on! They just want hugs and are content with a ball or a bone!

I have a powerful connection with my little dog Dinah, and miss her when I travel. She sits in the bay window looking out and waits for me.

Well, she THINKS she is little! She's actually on the smaller end for a Shepherd - 78lbs. when she was at the vet a couple weeks ago.
