Hi guys. I just closed on a condo two days ago. It is not anything spectacular, but it is pretty big and it is mine. I finally realized my dream of being able to have one room dedicated just to my models and Ferrari in general, a "shrine" if you will.
It is currently all white (the room) and it has a brand new descent carpet on the floor. However I would like to have it "customized" a little to fit with the theme. I want to put almost black hardwood floor in it but I don't know what or how to paint the walls. One solid color? Two tone with a separation stripe of some sort? Please share any ideas or comments or suggestions you may have. It would be greatly appretiated.

My dream is to have a room painted like carbon fiber, but that would be hell.

I can't really think of any suggestions, I'm not the artistic type :)

I like the elephant skin or bagged faux wall finish . It gives a nice texture and an aged look that is easy to do yourself. the materials should cost you around $100 for a regular sized room. I think it makes a nice background for artwork etc...

If you do go with the black hardwood make the side walls a semi dark red, and paint the cieling in a similar matte black as the floor. This way, when you light the room, the cars will contrast much more. The red will look nice anyway - my wife had one of the lounges we have finished in a moroccan redish orange (stucco looking) - it brings a warm ambience to the room itself.

I'd install so many bookshelves there would be any walls to paint! Maybe a little trim around the windows - which should be Rosso

Black ceiling, light grey walls, lot's of lighting to highlight the models ;) Let the models introduce the color.

Perhaps a little striping to co-ordinate with sheving.

Thank you all guys. Some great ideas. I will not paint it red top yellow bottom however, because if I do,I'll have sign divorce papers a bout 5 min after the paint dried.
    Keep them coming
