Tire dealer suggested that I could increase the size tires for my 348 from 355 (rear) to 265 and the next size up in the front. Any benefits or looks advantage? Thanks all

I finally installed the 355 rims i bought a few years ago on my 348, Went with 295 18 35 on the back and 225 40 18 on the front. The difference in drive quality was amazing. No more high speed instability at all. Im not sure if it was the rims, The tires or both but what a difference.

To the OP if you go larger tires make sure you use the proper rim. Using stock 348 wheels and only going larger tires will hurt performance IMO.

    .......

It was the larger 355 wheels that really helped IMO. I have heard from other 348 owners who went with 355 wheels and they all had very positive results. It only makes sense the 355 wheels are much lighter, wider and 18" dia....... :)!

just a quick question: are you using spacers on the back?
I`m thinking of swapping the 265/40 18" too 295/30 18" as well, but I`m affriad it will scrappe the inner wheelarch...

    Regards, Ben.

Going from a 255 to 265 is only an increase in width of 10mm, or less than half an inch. I wouldn't think there would be any adverse effects at all in the rear, but would wonder about the clearance in the front with the stock wheels going up 10mm at full steering lock. If you have more than 1/4 inch space that would keep you from rubbing, you ought to be fine.

Ben, Yes, Im using the same 30mm spacers on the back that i used with the 348 rims, But to be honest they are just a bit to wide, Im going to change them to 25mm and they should be perfect. Im using 20mm on the fronts and they are just right. No rubbing at all on the fronts or backs. Anybody want to trade a set of 25mm's for a set of 30's

    beachbum,

Can you throw in a picture of the rearwheels?
I was thinking about 285/35 18"but if the 295/30 18" looks good, maybe I`ll get me some...

    Thanks in advance,

    Ben
