Never saw this one... Nice color. Here is another car with the same strange decoration. But I think this one was or is still owned by Walter Wolf (?).

No this is not Wolf's car. This car went to a Persian gentleman who made the mistake of going back to Iran shortly after the 1979 revolution. He never came back (alive)...

Contrary to popular belief, the works made more than one of these (same spec & color), although only this one had the 475 bhp engine as specified by it owner, Sheldon Brooks.

I think so. It still retains the blue interior...

There are two more or less identical cars, one with a supercharger #1121198 and the second with injection #1121114 which is for sale:
and finally #1121222 which was registred in Karlsruhe, germany.

    My guess is 1121114.

It has a very "post-apocalyptic" look.

All that's missing is the "Road Warrior". ;)

Yes, this is the Super Countach with its special chassis. Everybody speaks about the Jota and the factory SVJ cars while the Countach Evoluzione seems to be a forgotten car.

Joe, many thanks for these pictures.

it is no forgotten, it was also a real proto that looked very "rough" and the finish was simply not existing (so it never looked so good and never was intended this way, it was a mule for testing future applications of CF mainly )
it had a CF chassis and was pretty advanced for its time

it was a very fast, light and raw car but is is gone and for ever (crash tested...:( )

Yep saw the car and briefly chatted with the owner near the Champs Elysees in Paris late 80's, very nice guy, looked like he was in the music industry. Someone asked in a nice way if it was reliable and he said absolutely not with a big smile:) I liked the color.

And yet like the Countach LP500 prototype, it was sacrificed to crash-testing I am told. Correct?

If only they had crash-tested a production car like this one... ouch!
