    I am organizing this event for the 2nd year. Last year - given I owned a 2007 Corvette at the time - was limited to Corvette Forum. Now that I own a Lotus, I am opening it up for other marquees. So far, there are a few Porsche's, Lotus's, and Corvette's slated to arrive. The more interesting exotics, the better! No "waxers" please, as this drive is all about experiencing the very best driving roads in the tri-state area. Of course, one compliment that was given during the last run was the moderate pacing of the run: spirited, but cautious and never dangerous/irresponsible.

    Last year's event was EXTREMELY successful.

    When: Sunday, July 13th (raindate: July 20th)

    Time: 9AM

    Meeting Point: Westport Train Station Off I-95 Exit 17 (set your GPS to Ferry Lane, Westport, CT)

    Route: Tentative route will be the very scenic Route 58/53 in Norwalk/Weston/Reddding/Bethel, up to 302 into Newtown, 25 into Brookfield, 133 into Bridgewater, 67 into Roxbury, 317/6 into Woodbury, 47 into Washington, 109/202 down into New Milford, and then Route 7 all the way up to Canaan.

    Lunch: TBD

    For the past 7 years I've been trolling the backroads of this area for the absolute best twisty experience possible. These roads are my mecca, and I think anyone that can appreciate a spirited, scenic country drive will have a blast.

    Enjoy the run, guys. One note of caution -- the CT cops assume that anyone in and around Lime Rock in a hot car is speeding. You can be sure they will be watching the roads, coming and going, in that area. I've seen too many folks get pulled over blasting out of Lime Rock. I think it is the sole means of raising money in some of those local communities.

    Good point. I think it's safe to say we'll be taking it slow in that vicinity. :)
