Very cool!!! The Lotus sounds awesome!!
I noticed the lights too. Those are pretty trick Jimmy. Are we planning on doing some pace car stuff??????????
I was calling Jim on another question on this lights. I am not sure if his rear lights are flashing or if it is the LEDs and the video sync making it look that way.
Thanks, not bad for 1.8 liter that "can" get 30 MPG! I guess a 670KG dry weight might help with that...
We fitted an F1 rain light in the rear which also reflects off the LED tail lights. He's referring to me leaving the headlights on over night. He was kind enough to call R in the States who called Brad who called me at Dinner and we went outside and shut them off. In the morning the battery was flat but Alan Mann gave us a jump. When I told Nick M about it he commented: "Kinda of like having Eric Clapton tune your guitar." Goodwood is like that.
Yes, Goodwood is like that. We had a little problem with a radiator hose clip on Friday morning and Bob Dance of Classic Team Lotus (The F1 cars) lent us a jack and some tools and came to our paddock to lend moral support. Bob was Jim Clark's mechanic at Lotus. Bob is the one in the Green shirt with his back to the camera. I included a better one I took at the Lotus owners gathering at Aspen when Bob was helping Emerson Fittipaldi get ready to take his Lotus Type 72D that he won the Formula1 World Championship in. Bob and Nick Adams were also helping EF into the 2-Eleven at the same event in Aspen. We were at a track day at the Goodwood Motor Circuit before the FOS and Alain de Cadenet offered to take me out on the circuit in my 2-Eleven. That was an amazing experience and he is an amazing driver. Nick Adams also got a ride in a Bugatti 59 (I think they only made 6 of these and the drivers Grandfather was the original owner) at the same track day. Nick M and a bunch of other enthusiasts were there too that day. Goodwood is very special indeed. Thanks alot for this wonderful thread.....that's choice piece of humor, Mr. G......LOL! Thanks also for joining us Patricko....
Thanks for the warm reception! Here is some Ferrari content from the Track day before the FOS. I also got to have a good look at this Bugatti 39 (they only made 10 of them) and I am a big fan of Bugatti GP cars now. Oh, a 512BBLM!!! One of my personal favorites, tire kicking an old Boxer512 now, that's a lot of car!
In the Paddock at the Goodwood FOS when we were not driving we were talking to the spectators that had come to have a look at the cars. It is a lot like a car show and it was as if I was standing on the Lotus booth that weekend answering questions for potential customers. I had one guy come up who was English but spends a lot of time living in Houston and he was thinking of buying a 2-Eleven for a track day car. He told me that he also has a F40LM!!
