Scuderia Stripes on 550 Maranello (Pics)

Stripes do not suit the car at all IMO.

They don't look horrible, but they don't look good either IMO. Not my favorite. They disrupt the beautiful lines of the 550.

 

I actually like it. The two badges on the hood seem a little silly, though.

 

agreed. What's up with that? I don't think though, that the scud stripes suit the 550 at all - they belong on the 430. Wish it was kept the same, it's nice as it is.

 

If it is classy already, why ruin it with excess decoration?

btw, that pic was taken in geneva next to the hotel d'angleterre, even tho the plates are from ticino.

 

Must be the angle or the size of the pictures, but that car just doesn't look right.....

And this is besides the stripes/twin badge thing it has going on.

 

Nothing wrong with the car itself, I think the perspective is a little distorted.

My opinion is that if you are going to try and enhance a 550 you should actually try and enhance it. 550's that have features to make it look like a sports car (wider tires, go-faster-stripes) look stupid because it is not a sports car, never will be. If you have to put stripes on, put something elegant that enhances the subtle and under-cover nature of the 550.

And twin badges? Groan!

It's not bad, but the second badge has to go!

It looks like it's taken at hotel l'angleterre in Geneva. I go there quite often and there are nice cars to be seen

The second badge is ridiculous. The stripes don't look great, but they're not bad - and they might turn out better in a different color combination. Maybe white stripes on a red car? I don't know - I'd have to sit down with photoshop, but I bet there's a solution that would look good.

While I agree they don't work on the car as it PRESENTLY sits, it could be pulled off if the car got slightly tinted wheels and some gunmetal or dark aggressive mesh wheels. The edgy looking Scud stripe portrays aggression, which a stock 550 definitely is not! The stock 550 portrays elegance and class, adding a tinge of in-your-face aggression doesn't flow with the attitude of this specific car.

Yeah, two badges is weird. & i don't really think the stripes flow with the car. Not a huge fan of stripes anyways...

I like the stripes, but hate the 2 badges. I mean.... why 2 badges??? Seems obsurd.
