    Sorry no pics of the carpets, but the owner has still all the original upholstery. However it's a shared idea that these red carpets are not original.

    Thanks for the interior pictures. Looks good. Leather looks very nice.

    A few comments meant to be constructive, about originality of some of the items. Please ignore if that's not what you are aftger. It looks like they chromed various pieces that were originally black (door handle ends, door latch and surround, etc.). The turn signal switch is the later square version. The vents immediately under the front windshield have the finishing surrounds that were added later (the orignal few cars did not have that "cap" on the vent, they just had the vent cut off; not sure if I am explaining this clearly, probably not). I cannot tell, does the car have its indicator lights in the middle console, below the dials? On this car (like my #9), there should be 9 of them.

    Nice car. How about some engine pictures?

    WOW, just noticed...thats the car JOE got for me from Switzerland...my first Miura SV...it was white..AND its doubled in price!!

    LOL, Alberto you read my mind and I had refrained from pointing out the flies in the ointment, but, now you've started :)

    Whilst the new upholstery does indeed look very nice, all the aforementioned details Alberto has correctly pointed out take away from the authenticity of the restoration. Two questions beg to be asked:

    1. When spending a small fortune to fully restore a Miura, why would the owner not want it to be as close to correct-for-period as possible? (really, with all the received wisdom these days, it cant be that hard)
    2. Why (oh why) do restorations performed in Italy itself, the car's birthplace, always feature replacement components and details that are blatantly incorrect? (I have seen this in EVERY single Miura restored in Italy, unfortunately. One would think the car's birthplace should be the ideal place to correctly restore a historic Miura)

    Yet still, "0961' does its best to rise above all the trivia aforementioned and we are grateful its coming back together again...

    Joe, the answer is quite simple: owners of such cars want to control the work they comissioned! The US -and in particular California!- is too far away to travel there only to see the car and discuss details over one single day. Perhaps you are right with the Miura-restos - but I have seen many historic Ferraris and Maseratis restored in the US and the result was terrible!!! Also I never ever would an Italian mechanic do an engine resto. For this we have much better and very advanced recources here in Germany.
    I have now a 4th car under resto in "Bella Italia" and the work there on interior, body and chassis is magnificant!

    My name is Dario, I come from Switzerland and I am 16 years old. I pursue this Thread already for a long time. Thank you to this forum I has learnt a lot about the Miura. A good friend of me is the owner of chassis 4365. Dnk to this forum I could persuade him to exchange these execrable inappropriate golden rims against silver:-D. In addition, I could persuade him to let put the carburettors substantially as well as the ignition. In addition, for me still small register about the Swiss Miuras. If her questions more than 4365 have asks quietly.

    It's cool to see one in traffic. If that were in the US, it'd be hidden by all the SUVs.

    The car has been found with all these pieces already chromed as well as the window and windscreen surrounds, but the new owner decided to keep them so because look better...and probably he will fit the SV rear wheels...The vents finishing sorrounds has been added during this restoration to stick better the leather to the dashboard. The indicators ligths are 9, but now the console has a strange finish.

    These are all real. There are always 7 to 12 Miura's in this shop (I usually count just for fun). Mine's in there once is a while.

    I thought it looked pretty good in silver, not so much in green.
    Depending on who you ask (and what you believe), this particular example is worth anywhere from $250,000 to well over $1,000,000.
