Look at the mole on Peter's forehead! Never noticed that before. Did you talk to him? He's quite the character on TV. Great guy.
Yes, actually had a long chat at a SpeedTV reception at the USGP in 2006. All of his 2007 predictions came true, and that was in Junoe of 2006.
Went for a walk some days ago to the construction site of a radio tower. They're replacing the old steel structure with a new one made of concrete. They have one HUGE crane there! Unfortunately, with so much trees around, the perspective was pretty limited and the photos aren't very sophisticated from the artistic point of view. Hope you'll enjoy them anyway. 1: On the way to the tower, there are some craters in the forest... relicts of the bombs a US bomber which was shot down got rid of before crashing... amazing that those scars in the landscape can still be seen after 65 years! 2: Approaching the construction site 3: The new tower 4: Crane, part 1... if the local newspaper is to be believed, that thing reaches over 100 meters in the sky! 5: Crane, part 2 - given its height, the massive chassis looks tiny and fragile 6+7 All three in a row! Thanks. The only photo editing done on that picture is cropping and resizing, I took it handheld in the afternoon in overcast weather with the following exif: shutter priority 1/13s, f/18 @ 120 mm, iso 100. I also might add that it was windy and I was zooming as the shutter was open. There was a lot going on there. I am very pleased with how it turned out. edit: you can see the larger size along with the full exif on my flickr site listed under my profile if you are interested.
Bought a Nikon D40 today! SOOO much better than my Canon point&shoot! Love it! (first picture somehow lost its sharpness BADLY due to the resizing... ) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
