Somebody please tell me what color this is...no one can give me a straight answer and the registration says RED... Is it rare? Thanks for your help. BJ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like Rosso Rubino, but that's just a guess. Can you get the paint code from under the rear deck?
I'll check tonight...wait, where do i check? I remember something about 300? that probably isn't right though.
Is one more readily available than the other? Statistically it would be the more available color I suppose. Thanks for the input everybody. BJ
I think it may be Rosso Metallico. Definitely not Prugna. I think Rubino is more of a wine red color. Either way, it's pretty rare.
That's Rosso Rubino -- a beautiful color that continues to this day. (The 599 GTB Fiorano I drove for my car column last year was Rosso Rubino.)
You can take the car to a good profesional auto paint supplier & they will scan the car to give you the exact color code. I did that with my car & it took only a few minutes. Now it's easy to get paint as I have the exact code numbers.
On the ferrari owners site this is what I have from my VIN... "Exterior colour ROSSO CORSA FER 300" Does this mean anything? I guess I'm lost without the paint code unless Rosso Corsa is the original color...pardon, colour....
Online paint chips and pictures just don't show very well so I'd go with Vito's advice and take it to a pro. Rosso Rubino 106-R-83 for sure, here is the Color Certificate for mine. I think that this can still be obtained from Ferrari. Image Unavailable, Please Login
