Here is good story for you all, As I bought my Countach and got it home, I started wondering about VIN-number and saw information on internet for number of cars produced in each year, from VIN-number to VIN-number. As I counted, how many car that is for number of working days, it is very likeliy that; I and my car is born in same day. I don't have exact information, as I should contact factory to confirm.
Interesting plates, 1120136 is said to have been delivered by Achili, so why does it have swiss export plates...
Not hard to imagine at all. Many cars listed as delivered to "Achili Motors Milan" and "SEA Automobili Roma" never went there
The interesting question is, does 1120136 count as swiss or italian delivered car, since if we want to find out all cars delivered to Switzerland f.e. we should now how the factory counted these... I have strong doubts about the factory numbers we got some years back.
"Officially" - delivered to Italy. In fact - delivered to Switzerland. Raymond, you know that in the golden era what as written on the records wasn't necessarily what happened. You will have to decide if this was a Swiss-delivered car.... In actual fact, it could be argued either way. Don't forget there were imports to CH via official channels (concessionaire, dealers et al) and "unofficial" channels. Im sure I have been very helpful in confusing the issue further
Perhaps the Swiss dealers had no cars available and the Italian dealer did. I think I'd be willing to travel if it meant not having to wait several more months for dealivery.

In April 1979, Gene Boston arrived at Sant Agata to collect his brand-new LP400S 1121034 and drive it away ... (see top pic). It was sitting waiting inside the works, having been tested by Valentino the day before. Beside it were 2 other brand-new LP400S! One was red/white. The other was black/white... (see bottom pic). Of note is the fact that only 1121034 had EE plates on ("EE.93717") and all three cars had the flag-type mirrors. None of them had the new rear-mounted wing. Trivia question: which cars are the other two? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

One of the best Autostradas for top speed runs is the one heading south after the Mont Blanc tunnel once you clear the moutqins qând are in the plains heading towards Allessandria and Genova. Now I want to go back in something made in Emilia! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Aaah, the Mont Blanc tunnel in a Countach, summer of 1989 Snap, crackle & pop! Passed later that day by 6 or 7 members of the German Club all in Countachs surely at over 7500rpm in fifth!!!
