"In general the universal kits are compatible with most Motronic air flow meter systems. The kits do not work with L-Jetronic systems."

But your 348 doesn't have Jetronic, does it?

Dang, your subject line got my hopes up!

That is an upgrade for an existing Motronic EGI system, not a mechanical CIS system like the K-Jetronic. The K-Jet would have to be replaced with a full EGI setup. It's been done, search the archives. IIRC, 30 to 50 HP gains have been reported with 4V engines. Similar to/slightly better than converting those engines back to carbs.

it is always amazing to me that Ferrari kept K-jet as late`as 88 long after Porsche went to Motronic

The Mondial QV uses K-Jetronic, see my earlier post.

A conversion to full EGI is roughly $2K - $3K in parts, then there's install time labor, & dyno time to get it tuned right. A turn key job would probably cost you upwards of $5K. You might want to consider the Nick's Forza/snj5 supercharger conversion for not much more $.

How do those costs compare to a conversion to a carb or throttle body injector?

What my hero Verell meant to say... :)

Nick's Forza (FChat sponsor) has both supercharger and EFI kits; there are also several excellent FChatters (including Verell) offering excellent threads on their EFI/supercharger conversions with lots of posted how-to's.

I'm the carb guy that retro-fit a qv to four Webers, and have several (too many?) threads on the conversion and development with dynos and tuning suggestions. The very short story with just a Weber retro-fit is that it is bolt on in about a weekend once you have everything. The ignition is left alone.

    Manifolds/gaskets: $1000-$1500
    Four Weber 40 DCNF-12: $1000 - 1500 (suggested jetting 145/F24/210/52)
    Fuel pump: $100
    Linkage/ new hose: $200
Air cleaners: a la carte (don't get me started :) )

That's all there is to it.

    Weight savings: 30# typically
HP gain: about 30, but feels like more due to increased throttle response over K-jet and sound.

I've just ported/polished my retrofit going to 44DCNFs, and should have initial new dyno in a week or so (see yet more self-absorbed threads)

Mine has been on carbs for about 5 years, and has been bulletproof reliable. It's just so simple.
    Whatever you decide, have fun!
    Here's a 3.2 qv with Webers and stock ignition, which dyno'd about 238 - 243 rwhp (about 286 - 290 at the flywheel):
