Hey guys, has anyone dealt with Texas Cars Direct in Dallas? I am looking to buy a Range Rover Sport or Range Rover HSE Supercharged and was wondering how they were. Their prices look very competitive. Is this a no-haggle-type dealership?

I have known Pete for over 15+ years through business. Here are a few points I would throw out there to you.

    1. He is very picky about the vehicles he purchases to resell.
    2. He and his staff pay attention to the details before he puts the vehicles for sale. ex: small mark on end of bumper, missing cig lighter, any warranty work that needs to be done, etc
    3. He works off of volume , so he prices the vehicles " right " to start with.
    4. His business is very low key, keeps his overhead low - prices stay low
    5. I have alot of MB clients that come through for service and they all seem completely satisfied
    6. I have send a few people his way personally , and they did work with the pricing.
    7. They offer extended warranties, through a rep company ( TSP/TPP ) which you may be able to work into the deal.

I would be happy to go over and put my eyes on something for you if you like... LMK

I've bought 2 cars from Pete, and have sent many other people there. I'd agree with Steve up to a point, my comments below. I WOULD buy another car from them.

I saw that the first time I bought, not so much the 2nd. There were a LOT of minor things wrong with the 2nd car, things like the A/C vent being smashed, the speaker grille cracked. When I asked them to be fixed they looked at me like I'd suggested a date with their wife.

See above, although my last experience was ~5 yrs ago.
One price, that's it. I've actually heard him ask people to leave that don't understand that it's a 'no haggle' dealer. His prices are good, and he knows it.
The most stress free car buying experience you'll EVER have. No salesmen, unless you want help and ask for it.
I didn't know that! :) We did dicker a little on my trade in. I think I got a fair price.

Bought 3 Jags from them, first back in 1998! Always good cars, good service and great prices.

I would be very careful about buying the "Certified Program" warranty. They are both aftermarket companies that I am very familiar with and I can say that Rovers are not claim friendly on the aftermarket side at all. PM me for more info. The cars however look great and are priced well, but Rovers are falling like rocks too, so negotiate

What a coincidence, I just bought a car from these guys today. I bought an XJR, yes I am in a rut. It is my second purchase from them and both transactions went very smooth.

Unless I don't know the secret password, they do not deal on the listed prices, nor do they need to.

I ended up buying a 2008 Range Rover Sport with barely any miles on it. I will be picking it up on Thursday!!!

Thanks to Steve for his referral....I name-dropped which ended up saving me some $!

    Why?

Brian, that Chevelle looks great! That is an amazing engine, and I can't wait
to hear it at full wail. Another great addition to your stable, congratulations!

What a collection, and the floor turned out great. Will be a fun party room with the pub/bar
next to it as I recall. Thanks for posting.
