Are these two cars new to town? FoSA had a Nero 360 Spider listed as for sale recently.

Green Lamborghini LP640 in the back of an 18 wheeler in a walmart (the one by rolling oaks mall) parking lot. Also a grey gallardo behind the LP640. The truck driver said the LP640 was going to a Las Vegas casino to be a slot machine jackpot.

Hum, okay. I wasn't sure on little details such as the wheels and other options. Last month I learned of a second RC 599 that was coming to town, so that may very well be it.

    Nice spot :)

NICE! You need to hook up w/ sTyLeR (Tyler if that is not obvious enough) he too has a 924S! He just joined the Porsche club and is having FUN with the car. You guys need to get together and take over that little club down there! ;) For sure come and see us up in Austin sometime for some of our functions...we are a very busy club up here!

    Congrats!

Sweet, and yes that would be a 924S! Congrats, it looks like it's in good shape. Keep it nice. Many nice ones have disappeared over the years.

As you will find if you research into it more, it is very rare for one of these earlier cars to not have A/C issues once bought. Many earlier cars such as these ran on R-12 freon which is no longer available unless you apply for a certificate from the EPA in order to legally buy and use old R-12 freon. If you become certified, then you can buy it over eBay. Most people who look into this issue find it more convenient to take it in for an A/C conversion to run on the modern R-134 refrigent. It's a simple conversion, but this may be done only to find out that your A/C has a leak and will only run cold for a short time. Some leaks can be easily fixed from what I've heard, and others not.

I'm taking my car to a local mechanic who knows Porsches well on Monday for an A/C conversion and will let you know how that goes.

That's a VERY good looking car you have there, Tyler!!

I can tell you have detailed it to near perfection!!

I very nearly bought a 944 Turbo a few years back and have regretted not doing it.

Enjoy, it looks like a lot of fun. :D

    Thanks Scotty!!! :)

The 944 Turbo must be a load of fun to drive. It’s built very much like the 924S but with a Turbo! Occasionally I like to look around at ads online and have noticed a few very nice looking examples listed.

My car still has a little bit of work to under go, but it really isn't much at all anymore. I was very fortunate to obtain such a nice and well kept example in the first place. Being able to drive it around often is something that I find very enjoyable. As some say, miles lead to smiles and I've found that to be factual up to this point. :)

I hope to get the car as close to perfection as possible and participate in future Porsche concourse events. Until I work up to my dream of Ferrari ownership, I'll always try to keep something nice that I can enjoy and have fun with.
