Perhaps the one from Paris which has now the QV engine, I think there is only one tahiti blue LP400s in france, therefore it's very likely that one.
This is the injected 500s proto used by the factory If i recall correctly. I could check but I am pretty sure. It went back and forth the continents
I was there the day it was delivered from Italy to Portman Garages. I was taken aback to say the least....
Si, you are correct Emilio I have a picture in a book, where this car is unloaded from a truck in England: The last three right-hand drive Countachs to be imported into the UK arrive ar Portman Concessionaires depot. Ciao! Marcello
I have seem that 5000 QV a few times in those days as well. Auto Konig car, with special rear wing without flaps. The owner liked to put stickers on the car. Marlboro stickers, Ayrton Senna stickers, NIXDORF computers. I also think he had a Brasilian girlfriend, in Monaco at least (always tricky these statements) Ciao! Marcello
Not my picture... However its always great to see someone having special-ordered a Countach in an unusual color, regardless of what others may think. One day if this car needs to be restored, it would be a travesty if the color was changed, without regard to the fact that that it is part of the car's unique history. That would be like erasing part of the car's identity IMHO. JS
FLA12794 - This is the VIN of my car - I have been told by some that I might have the last 2v Countach made. The car is a US injected car. (Really runs great) Titled as an 85 and I believe a production date on the door tag of very late 84 or 01/1985. I will look in the morning. Can anyone confirm or deny this last 2V stuff. I am just wondering. The cars is basically completely stock and did come from NJ, then Florida and then me. Can anyone tell me anything about the cars history? Has anyone seen it before? Hi Joe, Nice car! The letter "F" referes to 1985, "ELA" should have been a 1884 car. Your car has the revised rocker side panels, wich became standard on european 5000 QV cars since 1988. Perhaps this was earlier for USA cars, but not already in 1985 I think, so that must have been an after market job. Best regards, Marcel
Joe, Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your car is at least the second to last LP5000S. I do have FLA12795 in my files but not yet in my Registry and it is an LP5000S also.
One of my neighbors owned Performance Motors in Louisville Ky back in the 80's, the only dealership that sold Lamborghinis in the area. I was talking to him the other day about exotics. He sold two Countachs, one was a carbed black 86. That would make it a down draft if it was really a 86 (my car is a 85 titled as a 84). I got to wondering where that car was, I don't have the vin but with less than 20 in US it shouldn't be to hard. He said it really howled!
Beautiful color combination... The best Countachs are those that are driven. The worst are those that are not... Fact Image Unavailable, Please Login
